Root Can't Install Busybox

Greetings all. I'm extremely greatful to all the knowledgeable individuals who post so much information in this forum. I'm trying to squeeze as much utility out of my LG Options V Android phone as is humanly possible.

Like many people, I quickly hit the memory wall Android started warning me about low memory and that my incoming texts were being rejected. Link2SD did the trick, after rooting and partitioning the SD card. But now I want more!!!

I'm not sure if there is something wrong w/ my phone, but it seems to be fighting me on several levels. I need to install a custom restore, but when using the ADB command line method, I got "write errors". Also, when trying to determine if I have the Hitachi screen, I ran into another major snag.

I tried to install Busybox with two different installers... one by Stephen (Stericson) and another by JRummy Apps. The first failed and suggested I try a different location. The second failed and suggested I uses different ROM.

I installed Titanium Backup, but I still don't seem to have Busybox.

I don't want to process until I know what screen I have. It's prolly Hitachi. It's a new purchase from VM, Android 2.2.2.

I'll deal with flashing the new recovery later. Right now I'm looking for advice on why I can't install Busybox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't do anything until you get the ZenGarden recovery installed. Then make a nandroid backup from that recovery. Now if you mess something up (we all have), you can restore everything back to normal.
No backup= a real mess and or a possible brick (I know, I bricked my first V because of no custom recovery and backup).
If you really want the most out of your phone then, after you install the recovery, install the MiRaGe ROM.
All info is in the "All Things Root Guide" sticky. Look at the guide: "How to install a flash_image; flash a recovery, ROM, and theme".
All custom ROM's have root and Busybox already installed.
