Captivate is the best phone I ever owned

The Captivate is the best phone I ever had, because i came from phones that were free from contract renewals.

The last phone i had was a Sony Ericsson w580i. I thought to myself that the w580i is the only phone i need.

Last summer it fell out of my pocket, while in a roller coaster. I glanced past all the red lettering warning me to secure all lose items that may fall out. It shattered, but luckily i was able to find my sim card and memory chip.

I had some money saved up and when i went to the att store i was "captivated" by the Captivate.

I love this phone too! Luckily, I haven't had any of the problems (GPS, random shut offs, weak battery, etc) that seem to plague so many on here. A friend of mine just bought an HTC Incredible and I think my Cappy blows it away!

I love my captivate.

I didn't really have any problems with it to begin with, it was a solid phone..

But, now that I have cognition I swear I am in love with this phone.

I've only thus far had (in chronological order) a free Samsung flip phone, a Samsung Impression, and now a Samsung Captivate. Obviously, the Captivate has been the best by far. But I think what's most important is that I wouldn't want any other phone out there right now. Not an Evo, not an Incredible, not a Dx, not an iPhone, and not even an Epic. Call me crazy... but I think that's what's most impressive and pleasing to me. That I have what I consider to be the most desirable phone on the market.

Captivate was ok. Now that I have rooted, it is amazing! If your not happy with your cappy, ROOT!

I just bought a Captivate on eBay after reading a lot of positive things and then I subscribed to this forum with a daily update. It's the best thing you can do to regret that you bought this phone. I am happy that I now read something positive about the phone and I can't wait to see the post with my new phone and I think I change the frequency of my mails with updates about this forum............................

My rooted and rommed Captivate is the best phone I've ever had and I've had all 4 gens of iPhones, all jailbroken.

I really like my Captivate. I've had some problems (it's slow sometimes, and freezes), but the only major one was my wifi dying...after doing that beast root and bloatware kill thing, and this:

It works perfectly. I really like android in general, and this phone is as good as (almost) any Android phone (tbh, I wouldn't have bought it if didn't have AT&T, but don't really mind that now).
