Car Bluetooth Issue

Greetings all,
I have had a problem with my Prevail since i purchased it. Maybe some of you can help me figure out a solution.

My car (2011 Malibu) has a built in bluetooth system for phone use. I came to boost from Verizon. I had a fascinate which worked wonderfully with the bluetooth system. Everrytime i got in my car, it would automatically connect to the bluetooth, and un connect when i left my car, with no problems ever.

My Prevail, however, is a different story......
It connects when it wants to, and un connects when it wants to. Usually, i have to turn bluetooth off from the phone when I leave my car, power off the phone, then power it back on, turn on bluetooth from phone, and then i could use it again. A real PITA.
Lately, even that long process does not work and I am at the mercy of this phone.
when i make a call it will connect, but i cant hear anything, and the other person cant hear me. I have to turn on the speaker phone, and occasionally it will reconnect to bluetooth all on it's own.

i have done multiple hard resets, rooted, installed all pf the shabby mods except for the one that caused issues. (#5 i believe)

short of odin'ing back to stock, unrooted verion with ed13, i dont know what else to do. (i havent done the odin thing because it happened from day 1 with the original os)
sorry for the long drawn out description, but i want to give as much info as possible.

I am running shabbymod .09 loaded with ee14 update

hopefully, someone knows a fix for this issue.

I hate to say this but I believe you got a bad one from the start, you may still be able to take it back in and return it. I would try. Just use odin to return to stock and take it back faulty hardware.

Reason I say that is I have 2 main blue tooth devices, a samsung wep460 earpiece and a pioneer 3300bt headunit in the car and both work perfectly.
I have tried it with other phones as well and it always connects perfectly.

thats what i was afraid of. fortunately, i have a spare prevail, and just transferred my account to it. i will try it out later when i get in my car. thanks for the response.

No problem, and glad you got a spare that helps. good luck getting that one replaced.

I tried out my new phone. Everything works great now, and my phone no longer has "100% time spent without sleeping" when i check spare parts. Now to try and get Samsung to replace my original due to faulty hardware.........
