Bummer - went in to the CPW in Witney and had a play with the DHD - very nice!!

I tried desperately to convince the guy to sell it to me... but no luck! Only available on contract. :(
 
Quick question - are the DHDs supplied by Carphone Warehouse branded in any way or is it the standard SIM free phone but you get a contract?
 
Cheers chums. I'm tempted to get a new Orange contract as I've been wanting to move away from O2 due to crappy MMS and frustrating 3G coverage. I hate any kind of branding on phones wether it be hardware or software and this is the reason I have always gone SIM free and then used a SIM only contract. It'll be a sad day when I wave goodbye to my Nexus One...
 
When I went into CPW they really couldn't offer me anything useful for an 18 month contract.... 24 months is waaaaay too long to have a phone for, after 12 months I usually find the OS gets too heavy for the hardware and the battery starts to die.

Went into my closer CPW today which is always an interesting experience. Have to approach the staff and even then they really don't seem interested in talking to me!
 
Hi all,

Just reached the upgrade point with Orange so called and requested a Desire HD; Very surprised to be told "we're not going to do that model, fancy a Mozart?". Explained I was very keen on a Desire and was then told in a stage whisper to try CPW which I have now done.

Despite what I've read elsewhere about stock levels and CPW efficiency, within 5 minutes I had the deal sorted out, pretty much the same package/price as I have now and a Desire HD is on its way for monday, plus I found a 16GbmSD card for

Amazon have some screen protectors now available. There's a pack of 10 screen protectors for 2.97. Gonna buy some when i get mine because i like keeping my phone clean.
 
I don't like any mobile company i like only blackberry or skypephone these mobiles are cool and awosom
