So I've heard that the otterbox removed the screen protector.. which is blasphemy.

Can someone confirm or deny this for me? because, one of the major selling points of the defender series is the fact that I don't have to apply a screen protection I have a 80% chance of screwing up..

I thought I found a great alternative with seidio inncase rugged or active... but, they have the same problem! it comes with a screen you put on yourself...

Any suggestions? :(

I to was freaking out when I found out that the Defender series would not include a built in screen protector but, Otterbox had a good reason for not having it. The rep I talked to said that the reason they did not include the screen protector is because it reduced the sensitivity of the screen and could not get the phone to function at its peak potential (as far as touch goes) with the screen protector installed.

Now, to help with the screen protector. I wish I lived near you so I could apply it for because I apply everyones screen protectors I know haha. The trick I used to get better at applying them was first, whenever you are going to apply a screen protector go in a small bathroom at turn on some hot water to pull all of the dust out of the room. Second, clean the surface you are going to be installing the screen protector on. Third, go on eBay and buy a few different types of screen protectors for your phone, like cheap no name brands that cost maybe 3$. Buy a lot so you can use them as practice. Eventually you will get the hang of it and you will teach yourself little tricks in order to get the screen protector on without bubbles and dust and making it straight. Go check out Youtube for some tips too. But once you get the hang of applying the screen protectors I would purchase a good one like Realook or in my personal opinion SGP Steinheil's anti-fingerprint screen protector. It leaves no fingerprints or streaks from your finger while protecting your phone.

I hope I helped in some way. Good luck!
