Help Case making phone overheat?

i am using the otterbox impact series and it seems like my phone runs hotter and slower with the case on rather than with the case off. is there a chance that the case doesnt let the phone cool off as well and thus makes it run slower or is it just my imagination?

I don't know about making it slower, but the hotter is due to build up without the ability to vent as easily. I've noticed some cases trap more warmth in, but not to the point where it would hurt performance.

I'm going to try one of those shield skins tonight just for the heck of it. If it goes on without any issue I'll keep it, but I'm skeptical of the entire install process(I'm not spraying anything on my phone. I'll steam the bathroom shower up and reduce dust that way.

just a few things to point out...

if the liquid is non conductive it won't harm the phone even if its on..you could fill a computer case with cooking oil for instance while its running and not impact the operation of the computer...

and as for steam...the water in a gaseous form is even more likely to get inside the phone then a liquid...

i also uninstalled an app on there, i didnt think it was causing any problems though because i have had it for a while though. oh well though i think im just gonna roll with a naked droid. even though i have spent like 80 bucks on cases
