cases

Haven't looked yet. I usually buy my cases from Seidio, but they don't typically have them available until a few weeks after the launch. Google will allegedly offer bumber cases directly, but I prefer something that offers a bit more protection.

I found some cheap ones on amazon but they have no picture included so it seems pretty sketchy to me, so i would suggest we wait and see lol.

I'm curious about the bumper cases from google as well, and if they'll interfere with wireless charging.

Did he not have a demo model? In his review he does mention that even the guy at Google had cracked his back plate.

I might consider a case if I can find one with a credit card slot so I don't have to carry a wallet or money clip (I never have cash anyways). Other than that I won't put a case on it. I usually don't like cases at all and the Nexus 4 is a really great looking device I don't want to hide.

They could always make cases that have the induction charging built in so you could still charge through the case wirelessly. It is 2012 after all.

I'm saying it'll send the induction through the case then into the back of the Nexus 4 whereas the product you mention send the power into the micro-usb from it's induction thingy. Not that it really makes a difference lol

No fear guys, from what I've heard Google will be offering a Bumper similar to the one available for the iPhone 4S. I know tons of people that used it for the iphone and from I've heard it really offers the best of both worlds...some protection from impact and openness to show of the phone.

I suppose that's true if the world is flat and you drop it on tarmac or something, but the world isn't flat and that bumper case only offers a few mm of protection from a flat hit

A bumper will probably give it a little lip so the back doesn't touch the flat surface directly. But I mean accidents happen. Phones not made of glass on the front and back have cracked screens. All it takes is one time honestly.

As much as I would love to show this phone off, I would much rather protect it than have to deal with cracked glass.

Its odd that there are no cases at all yet. When the nexus 7 was released there were cases and covers all over the internet for it. I don't really want to be using a new phone naked.

Let the device be your CC.

I've just ordered a cheap pull tab case from eBay. It comes with a free stylus so I can use that with my nexus 7 and use the case until some better ones are released.
