Cataract Surgery

After about a year, I had blurriness in one eye: but only in the upper quarter. I went back to the surgeon, who explained that when the old lens was pulverized and removed, tiny remnants remained (they can never remove 100%). It developed a layer of scar tissue that occurred about 10% of the time. The solution is a brilliant machine that uses a very precise laser to perforate the tissue layer into four sections (like a 4-slice pizza); and the sections, over the next couple of days, just roll up into the eyeball and out of the field of view. It was a 2-minute procedure! Once that's done, it never has to be done again.

I will definitely give it a go soon. I need a better excuse to get out than an experiment while the temperature is in the teens. I am anxious but not crazy. :)
I see my optometrist tomorrow for my week +1 day post op exam. My distant vision is so vastly improved in both eyes that I hope for some definite time for an exam for new glasses. My near vision is not improved and needs correcting.

It's wonderful being able to watch a movie on a home big screen and also be able to read the closed captions ... without glasses. Now if I can only figure out how to get rid of the damn hearing aids 🤣

I received a great report after my week out eye exam this morning. I'm scheduled for my final appointment in three weeks. The latest surgery eye's vision is better than the first eye. I'm a happy camper!
It is amazing the difference the surgeries have made.
Congrats Bud, glad it all worked out, we had faith and new all would be fine. Now go put your snow tires on your Electric Bike, LOL
