Root [CDMA] Cdma or gsm?

Looking to buy a phone from a friend and flash it to boost. evo 3d.

I looked in the FAQ section and looks like the gsm is UK only. Is that true? She had it with verizon here in the US.

Thanks for any input.
 
Verizon is CDMA, but they do have some GSM global phones, but I would say it is a CDMA

I don't recall Verizon having the EVO 3D though.

Yeah, Verizon doesn't have any phones from the Evo line. Evo 3d was a sprint phone in the us, which means it could possibly work on boost I think since boost is a sprint mvno.
 
vzw will not knowingly let any other carriers devices,or even international devices,on their network. lots of folks do flash other cdma devices to vzw prepay,wich basically involves(like flashing to boost) cloning an eligible vzw prepay device.

this is why i like GSM phones... as long as you can get them unlocked,you can use them anywhere just by swapping sim cards :smokingsomb: no flashing to or flashing back of the device itself! :D

I've found this out the hard way when I purchased a Razr a while back from ebay just to find out it can't be flashed on sprint contract :p

My bad, it was sprint. Im gonna flash it to boost (Ihope). I been looking at some tuts, and youtube vids but id sure like to have some one on one help.

I have the programs, I think all the files also. Its a new phone for me to learn. But I think Ill be ok.
