Root [CDMA] Help! Stuck at boot loop evo 3d

Xplod does the same for you also ??

The non-xperia version of it did. Didn't care to try the xperia version as it's virtually the same + the different launcher, which I would have put ADW over, anyways.

The way I test system stability is by putting Google Navigate on while streaming Pandora over 3G. If it lasts more than 20 minutes, it's generally a keeper. So far, for my device, only CleanROM and the ICS alpha from deck have done it.

Put a rom on the root of your sdcard, boot to bootloader
Open cmd and cd to the folder with fastboot
Issue command fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
Then once you get to recovery do a full wipe and flash again. This will allow you to write to /boot partition which you can not do by just booting into recovery
Would someone be willing to post these steps with more noob friendly instructions? I'm pretty inept with flashing/rooting/etc and cant seem to get the steps right.

here's the steps i tried:
booted to bootloader (using power+volume down)
navigated cmd to the folder on my desktop with the fastboot.exe
tried entering the command above - got this error:
D:\Program Files\Android\androidhtc>fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
cannot load 'recovery'

Would really appreciate any help.

Not trying to hijack the thread. But im still in htc bootloop as well. None of the fixes i have tried have worked. My problem now is not being able to cmd to anything. I set all the paths for the envinronmental variables have every thing i need unzzipped in my sdk tools folder. But everytime i try to run a command i get path not specified or recognized.(this is happening on both my pc's) if anyone can help me get adb\fastboot going that would be awesome.

"I feel like a noob again" : \

Ive been noticing alot of people having this prob with roms that have the new ota.
EDIT Commands are now getting me where i need to be. But im having same issue getting to recovery via fasboot. just get error cannot load recovery. i just need to be able to flash to boot partitition its my understanding that that is where my problem lies

After using the HTC unlock method and rooting my Evo 3D, I attempted to install MIUI from bootloader and the teamwin recovery menu. It says it worked, so I went to reboot it, but I'm stuck in a bootloop. I have a backup of my phone before installing MIUI. I have no way to access my phone using command prompt because it says it isn't found. I can get into bootloader using volume down + power, but when I choose Recovery to get into the Teamwin (or whatever it's called) recovery menu to try and get to my backup, it reboots the phone into MIUI and gets stuck in the bootloop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :( I'm really upset.. I hope I didn't mess up too much. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it.

Edit: I apologize for posting I'm not trying to 'hijack' this thread, I am just at my wit's end and going crazy here :(.
