Root [CDMA] How to revert to Gingerbread from ICS?

Also just a note when you try this. When I tried to downgrade from ICS to GB the RUU would fail to update. I was told to boot into fastboot and then run the RUU and it worked. So if you have problems with the RUU, there is another thing you can try.

isnt this how you gained s-off in the first palce? you referenced the wire trick in your other thread,wich is a juopunut bear item
Scotty yes I used the wire trick on hboot 1.5. We weren't sure if it works on HBoot 1.58. He was OTA ICS. Better to verify than have someone ruin their phone! I'm just a newb myself so I have to ask these things when I'm unsure to keep things safe.
