ok. im having a little confusion about how far the roms have come for the evo 3d. in the past i had an htc hero and it was rooted and flashed to cm6 and the whole deal. and i want to do it to my evo 3d now. iv been using it stock since release day but im ready to root and flash.

my confusion comes with the roms, from what im seeing theres no stable roms yet? or am i looking in the wrong places? any advice on roms that are not sense? im looking for a fast, stable rom, and one with great battery life.

and also on my hero i always used setcpu widget. but im not able to find the free version in the market anymore, did they do away with it? and if so what is recomended to use for overclocking the evo 3d?

Only stable non sense rom is miui cm7 hasn't released a stable nightly yet and have closed cm7 alpha thread at xda.

There are tons of quality roms. The cyanogen mod rom for the evo 3d is still in alpha 3 stage and is still missing a lot of features.

I am currently using Virus's Infected ROM and it is really nice and fast.

Here is a list of ROMS for the 3d.

[Complete LIST] Guides | Roms | Rooting | Recovery | Radio's -- Updated 11.5.11 - xda-developers

Hope that helps.

also remeber that the hero has a well backed up community of devs that have worked on the hero for a long time. the 3vo is still relatively new and it needs more time to get seasined well with devs. keep in mind that the cm team took it a while for it to develop cm6. i remeber the nightlies for the evo with cm6 before it became cm7. just give it time. also there are plenty of roms to choose from. i'm on the clean rom now and i might try the the senseless version later this weekend.
