Root [CDMA/SHOOTER][ROM] Unofficial CM10 for Shooter Alpha

Hey JMZ, I've tried this on both HBoot 1.5757etc. (Juop) and Eng HBoot 1.04. Getting bootloops. Even tried flashing your kernel after, but to no avail. Any ideas JMZ?

Can't really tell you. I use it on the 1.04 hboot. Did you wipe everything? pull a logcat for me if you can

it works just fine. It just doesn't work on 1.57 hboot. I already established this fact. It just doesn't work for YOU. Not that it doesn't work in general
 
Whoops, turns out I'm less up to date then I thought...I didn't realized you had released a new version of your kernel. I am quite sorry about that. I will be reflashing with that ...I'll tell you how it goes later.

EDIT: With your kernel that only works on 1.57 and 1.58 ( ;) ) I've booted from recovery in record time. You're going to want to out in the OP that you NEED to flash your "incompatible" kernel if you want it to boot. Otherwise, bootloops galore.

EDIT 2: You also listed SMS as working twice... you may want to change that. Just a small inconsistency, but I'm OCD.

Generally change logs aren't provided for alpha or pre alpha builds.

So much changes from build to build its worth more to have the dev keep working than to try to track all changes.

Give it a flash if you're interested.

Well no need to flash my kernrl seperately. It now comes with my kernel

Mainly just ensuring my kernel is fully compatible and didn't break anything new.
 
I was on midnight before i flashed this and I had signal bars. After i flashed this my signal worked fine for a little bit but then all of a sudden i had no signal bars and i couldnt place calls or send texts so i had to switch back. why is that?
 
Hey jmz, you mentioned in another thread that besides mms, the current bugs in CM10 are easy fixes. So should we expect a working camera/camcorder and USB mounting in the next build?

I said most were. camera/camcorder are going to be the hardest. Yes next release will have usb mounting fixed. 4G SHOULD be also.

I'll be tempted to use this rom, even without a working camera. For the hour or so I played around with it, it was so smooth.

Im hoping to get one out tonight but im fighting off some issues with my kernel/wifi right now.
 
Hello everyone,
I just installed this CM10 version last night. I just got done personalizing the settings, apps, etc. I did not have any random reboots when I was personalizing it, although I did not do any reboots. I installed the Google Now apk (mikey6offline) via 4ext. It seems like ever since then everytime I go to reboot, it gets caught in a bootloop with the Cyagenmod Logo on the screen. I just now had a random bootup too. I came from Midnights latest version rom. I wiped cache and davilik and did a factory reset twice before I installed this rom. I don't know if installing the google now apk is related to the bootloops or not. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I would hate to do another factory reset since I did do that and wiped caches twice before installing this. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

if you flash gapps then there is absolutely no reason why you should be installing google now. Google now is built in to cm10
