Root [CDMA] Which one, Sense 3. or Sence 4.?

I would like to know which version of "sence" is best to use and if upgrades to the 4's are smart right now or would it be better to wait until things stable-out more. The reason I ask is because some of the better Roms that offer more customization use sence 4.0 - 4.1 and I've read that those versions are really nice but not:confused that stable.

It's really hard to answer questions like this because when it comes down to it, it's all opinion, and everyone has a different one! I honestly haven't used sense 4.0 enough to give you a valid comparison but I know a lot of people love it and love the new features etc. The cool thing about being rooted is its so easy to experiment and see what you personally like. Make a nandroid backup. Then flash the rom you want to try. If you find it buggy or unstable or simply do not like something about it, just restore your backup and it's like you never touched your phone!

Also most Sense 4.0 I tried don't have 4G

I tried an older version of Viper because of its customization abilities but there is a new version with Sense 4.1 and I want to try it because it has even more customization abilities but if it causes too many problems I don't want to waste my time.

The reason why id because they are not Sprint 3VO releases, they are ports from others, and most new phones with 4.0 are LTE and not WiMax anymore.

Yeah, I noticed that and most can't do 3d camera either. I wish I had enough sense to make my own :D:D

Thanks Don! That makes sense! No pun intended lol. I promise! :o

If I was a fan of sense (which I'm not) I'd give some of these a try since I don't even live remotely close to any Wimax areas :p

Thats a good point because I don't have Wimax either. I like my 3d effects though. Has anyone heard if the developers are still trying to get 3d working on those Sense versions?

I'm sure they are, but normally on most roms, working 3D is there last worry to fix.

Thats kind of funny to me because the 3D ability was the determining factor for me getting this phone. There are a few other phones out there that are just as powerful and functional ...... but no 3D. So when the developers make Roms for the EVO 3D it just makes sense to make sure the 3D capability is a big part of it. If anything, I would like to see a developer make a Super Rom that enhances the 3D effects even more somehow. "There's an idea make it do something even better than it was designed to"

Many people and developers have their opinions. You have yours which is pretty strong on the 3d. Myself with many others was pretty stoked about the 3d aspect upon first getting the phone, then after a week or so it just got boring with lack of decent 3D games, tbh taking 3D pics/vids is only a waste of time since a 3D converter is needed to share those.

To sum it up Imo, 3D is rather a lack luster option to the 3vo, sure it's nice every now it then but it's nothing to brag about.

I guess you are right for the most part. I think this phones screen size combined with the speed and overall body size is really what makes it a "winner" for me. I was going to try the Sense 4 out but when I tried to upgrade the firmware to 2.89 h-boot 1.5 to run Sense 4 my phone locked-up real bad. It gave me an error on fastboot screen saying the "ICS" is incorrect or invalid or something like that. It changed my h-boot and firmware but I lost service completely. One of the guys that was helping me told me it was because I had an EVo V that was on VM that I converted to EVO 3D and flashed to Verizon PrePay and VM's ICS is still branded in there. I don't know if there is a fix for that but the farthest I've been able to upgrade my Sense to is 3.6 without any problems, well, maybe a little lag.
