Root [CDMA] Who rom are you guys using?

Earlymon....just played around with setcpu. Sure enough....19.
Seemed stable but I bumped it back up after a few min.

Best battery life w/o sacrificing any performance would probably be on the conservative gov w/ min 192 + max at 1188.
 
I recently flashed Viper ROM 1.3. I am happy with the overall performance of the ROM, however there are not as many features as I would like.

I am hoping for a better ROM to release sometime in the near future.

Flashed viper 1.3 this morning with silver needle 1.0 and I have to admit its been very nice. Mik has a lot of work to do to get on the same level....
 
Viper 1.3 here with i guess the kernel it comes with. like it. I ran it for about a half a day then went to Showdown but didnt like how it wouldnt let me put my custom wall paper so went back to Viper. I did the calabration app Eralymon I think it was suggested and Im mot really geting any beter battery life, maybe cause its still the first charge from this morning idk. Anyhow really like the forum, you guys Are very helpfull
 
Wow, looks like I have to try Viper once I get this sucker rooted, everyone speaks highly of it.

Is there any xda thread or anything discussing cm7's progress for the 3d? Is there an ETA for it yet?

EDIT: Just finished rooting :) A little late to start flashing stuff (5.38 AM lol), but I'll probably do it tomorrow :D
 
My phone was frozen this morning on the charger when I got up. That's the first time that ever happened. If I get that again I'll bail on viper. I'm not running anything on the phone I didn't run on mik's...

wow just flashed the rom and right off the batt i notice 531 free ram..Geah
Cant get tethering to load {force closed}. very smoth but very basic. only have 4 side to side or whatever you call it lol from the home like Nexus s4g. i like the other roms where the it gos in 360. oh and the wallpaper is no good for me cant put my custom one in full glory
 
I downloaded freEVO 3D rom from rom manager yesterday just to check it out and so far have been blown away. Battery life has been the best yet. I haven't bothered to install setCPU or anything yet so it's running as it comes.

So far, 25 hours of battery life with normal usage (normally I get 10)
 
Flashed Steelrom a few days ago for my first 2.3.4 rom and it's ok. Speed is great but I don't notice the rom as much as I did when I was running viper 2.3.3. Hopefully either viperboy or mik comes out with a 2.3.4 rom soon. :)

I've been in love with Sense 3.0 too much to flash a custom ROM. Until I find a ROM that looks better, I'm sticking with my rooted stock 2.3.4 with freeza's kernel (carrier spyware removed). The only other reasons I would want to flash a different ROM would be for speed or battery life, both of which I'm very satisfied with on the EVO 3D as is.
 
So far I've tried Supra AOSP, Cleanrom, and Synergy (one of the stable nightlies) but kept going back to stock. I tried viper 1.3 for the first time today and it is really solid. I'll probably stick with it as my default.
 
Virus has a pretty nice ROM out right now. I think there may be a couple to choose from right now but I tried Airborne3D. I love Virus ROMs on my Evo, and so far on the 3D it seems solid. Linpacks in 87's to 97's and Quadrant score of around 2800. That's with the kernel it flashes with. I couldn't get mine to OC to 1.8ghz and be stable, but around 1.7 or so it rocked. I LOVE THIS FREAKING PHONE!
 
I should add there are a couple things that are small issues...not sure if it's in the ROM itself, or a fluke for me but the Personalize doesn't work...ie for re-assigning apps on lock screen and some customizing parts of launcher pro. I love swipe up for the app drawer, but I can't get it to work. :(

You said this is your second ROM and the battery life was horrible the first day and so uninstalled the ROM. I was just wondering if you had recalibrated your battery after flashed the ROM. I'm not implying you don't know what you're doing, but it was something I had to learn on my Evo 4G when I first started rooting and flashing new ROMs. Just thought I'd throw that out there incase you didn't know.
 
I was running Viper for a couple of weeks and really liked it, but I wanted to try something else for kicks and giggles so I downloaded and flashed CleanRom right now and it's fast and has some cool animations. I'm really liking this one, probably gonna be my keeper.

No, I didn't do anything to actually conserve my power. I don't quite understand why its so good, but it's holding strong. I went to bed last night with my battery at 17% and when I woke up this morning (9 hours later) it was at 14%. If I didn't see it myself I wouldn't believe it.

Personalize doesn't work very well when you use a customer launcher. You need to go to applications, launcher pro and clear defaults, then launch into Sense before you can change the Personalize settings.
