Root [CDMA] XDA cracks the early rom - code-named Kingdom

Yeah, not sure - marctronixx moved it, but I've been looking at it wondering if it's two threads or not.

Custom rom impacting phone - root is probably best.

But where to put the rest? "Attention: this is not the Evo 3D" - well - that could really go anywhere and be true.

I prefer to wait and see if Phandroid runs the story - if so, maybe some posts should tack on to the Phanbot posting that will result.

Looks good to me! more choice is always better.
Now bring on the optimus 2x and galaxy s2/epic 2 please :)

oh and the atrix would be nice.

The specs for the rider says, The rear camera supports eight-megapixels, with dual mode 2D/3D support, capable of full-HD 1080p recording and playback, while the front camera supports 1.3-megapixels in 2D. That's a select piece from the whole article, Question (In bold) is the rider spec referring to what the scorpion chip can handle!?

HTC Rider: Full Specifications Revealed

Ummm.... specifications subject to change without notice?

Or... blogs reserve the right to make mistakes when reporting on test roms?

Doubtful - highly doubtful - that HTC would go to the effort of changing too much on assembly lines.

HTC Mobile Phones - EVO 3D(Sprint)

As for what the MSM8660 can support - no, as I recall from the overview vid the other day on the Qualcomm test platform for this SoC (a $1350 gem), that platform had a 13 MP camera - in fact, I'm certain of that.

Oh...ok! It could be a typo, as i thought that it could handle more! Like you said EarlyMon to little and not enough time with R&D to pull off dual 8 mp camera's.

agreed. to be able to stream music to a car not equipped with BT pairing... Just set the dial to 108FM or whatever, and pick up the phone's FM transmission.

stuff like this reminds me why I love Android's openness.
