Change CyanogenMod back to original Cupcake?

I am buying a G1 with CyanogenMod already installed on it but I was wondering if I could change it back to normal if I didn't like it?

I have heard talk of being able to do it but not sure how.

I do have a question...

Why would you want to give up all the advantages of having root ?

the process is essentially the same as rooting just using OTA builds instead of rooted ones... go to this thread http://androidforums.com/updates-cupcakes/5084-question-should-i.html directions are in there although im not sure if the links are still valid...
