Changes from 2.2 Leak to Official 2.2 OTA

To build on the last question,if i were to install the .15 leak, would I also inherit the no sbf problem? Or is that only in the OTA?

i have the first 2.2 leak (2.3.9), it's working fine. SHould i update to the .13 or .15? version..

If it ain't broke, don't fix it =). Seriously, I haven't noticed a difference between any of the leaks. Major bugs like the battery manager constantly force closing exists even in the OTA, so there's not much incentive.

That only applies to the OTA. Someone on MyDroidWorld explained this. The leaked 2.3.15 that came out is only a /system update, while the OTA also includes a kernel, radio and bootloader update as well.

You'll be able to sbf back to 2.1 if you install the leaked 2.3.15.

Had the leaked 2.3.9 and I see no difference in the OTA 2.3.15! I SBF bact to 2.1 and upgraded to 2.3.15.

Edit: I had only one bar in my house and now I have 3-4 bars so the radio was upgraded. Other than that its the same as the leaked versions.

Bars are not everything. That could just mean they changed at what level they show. The important thing is what is your dbm reading on signal strength and did it change?

I'm really interested in actual signal change between the leak and OTA, if it really is better I will be updating to the OTA, if not I'll think about it since my only real issue is the SMS timestamp on the .9 leak and that isn't really a big deal and apparently it isn't fixed in the OTA anyways.

i still run 2.3.9 and i wont ever be going to the OTA unless that is where the DEVS head but until then i wont ever need moto again for anything

Thanks for the info. As an additional question, did the ota fix the problem with the Droid X not utilizing all of its RAM? I think that it was referred to as a highmem problem.
