Root Changing bootanimation

I was wondering if this post http://androidforums.com/ascend-all-things-root/347609-new-lcars-boot-animation.html will work for a GT540 running CyanogenMod 7, I think it was made for the Huawei Ascend but im not sure if it would work with the GT540 screen size.

Also if I add it would I still beable to get to fastboot and recovery?

Thanks for that, got my nice geeky boot animation now.

Edit: lol the sound files for that boot animation stopped it loading cyanogenmod, so had to reinstall through fastboot, probably just needed to install boot.img but to be safe I just did a full reinstall, guess imma just use the boot animation without sounds.

Unless anyone knows how to edit the files in the zip for sound files to make them compatible with the GT540
