Yeah. As guaterican said once you flash a oced kernel which Gingeresteem should already have you could then overclock your CPU speed to a higher value . Most people use setcpu;

Also you could use could master by antutu;

And lastly cpu tuner ;

Now. Remember that all devices are different , and that you could reach a certain speed that others can't or vice versa. First , When overclocking try noticing your maximum speed by setting it any high given speed and then do some benchmarks.

The most benchmarks apps used are Quadrant and antutu :

Antutu;

Quadrant ;

When your phone can't handle that certain speed that you set it will most likely freeze and reboot. Then simply decrease the speed clock rated until phone successfully finish the benchmarks, that will finally be your maximum speed that your phone could be overclocked to ( results may differ depending on the kernel that you have flashed). NOW with that in mind , please try not set the speed in "set on boot" until you are sure that speed is stable and running fine because if you do , you would end up getting bootloops.

Good luck!

make sure to move it up slowly to see how well your phone runs, and less chances of over clocking it making your phone reboot constantly.

Also keep in mind different kernals can make your phone act a little differently as far as reboots go. With playfulgods I can reach 1.9 with no problems, but it drains a little more battery. With the Blitzkreig kernals I reboot at 1.7-1.8 depending on how heavy I'm using it. Battery charges faster tho, due to it being undervolted. Just see what you like and where its stable.

One thing to keep in mind regardless of what app you use is to make sure "set at boot" IS not checked. Once you find a speed that your phone will stay stable at then check to "set at boot". Hopefully a stuck in boot loop scenario avoided ;)

System tuner is really nice also. It has a lot more features instead of just the governers and clock speeds you can control voltage, control startups boot settings, auto kill Too much to list. It's like a mixture of set CPU and titanium backup with additional features.

I have owned set CPU for a while best purchase and don't you get more options after you buy it? Its been so long I have had it sense I got my hd2 a while ago. Either or support for the Dev is always good.:)
