Changing to New SD Card

I've a 4GB SD Card installed in my Xperia Ray ST18i. Now I've purchased a 8GB Card to replace the 4GB one. Being the internal memory very less and as I use many applications, I've moved almost all of my apps to SD Card and still left with just 50MB of free space in Phone Memory. Now, what I wonder is while changing the SD card, do I need to move back all the apps to Phone Memory (which would not be possible as the free space left is only 50MB approx). Else, just copy pasting all the content from old card to new card would do?

Kindly suggest me the way around.

I switched from the 4GB microSD to a 32GB microSDHC. I just copied all the contents of the 4GB card to the HDD first and then copied them to the 32GB card. All the apps worked fine.

you can just cop the contents,everything works fine
