Help Charging problem

Umm so basically my battery level has been acting strange the lay few days, like it saying I have 100 battery, take it off the charger then I have 80... I let it completely die then I charged it too 100% then turned ut on, when I unplugged it, it went doreen, to 78, I believe but now when i try to charge it, it says its charging but the battery percentage continues to drop, im very confused and would like any help possible please.

The first 10-20% of your battery goes up like a fireball. Once your battery hits 80% consumption slows down and your battery guage is what's really left on the battery.

Dont panic. Let the battery get to 80% and lower. That's a true assessment of what's left on your battery.

I charge my phone all night and take it off the charger for about 10 minutes before I leave the house. Battery falls about 10% sometimes more. But the rest last's me all day. Its normal.

I have had a few instances when the battery dropped while on the charger.

The first time was when i tried to use my Bluetooth charger with the phone. it wouldn't provide enough current to charge the phone while in use.
The other times it was because the cord(s) had a short (and would no longer transfer data)

The reason the battery "drops very fast" initially is because of the way the phone charges the battery. Once full, the battery does not continue to charge. it will not charge again until the battery has dropped below 90% (maybe lower)

This isn't reflected in the status bar, but a reboot will display the correct battery level.

(You can test this by baby sitting the phone JUST until it says full, then using it normally. You will notice that the battery drains 'normally')

Long story short, best case- you probably need a new charger. Worst case -you need a new battery.

Do you have CWM? You should go in there and reset your battery stats. Charge it fully and run it completely until it dies out. Then repeat. This should help you with your confusion and problems.
