Sorry if I missed the point here, but can't you just charge your droid x by plugging it into that wall outlet?
Actually, Napalm, the phone doesn't hold the drivers and in fact XP did not load any specific Droid X or Motorola drivers. What it loaded was the built-in, super basic USB drivers (I know, I know, the bubble said it was a MOTOROLA DROID X, but that's just an identifier string on the device, and has nothing to do with the actual drivers) which are sufficient for charging.
That's all anyone should need to charge it.
Unfortunately, many businesses lock down USB drivers or disable them completely to prevent the movement of company data and/or the introduction of viruses into the system.
It's likely that the built-in drivers for any computer since Windows 98 Service Pack 2 (which was the beginning of real built-in USB support) will be adequate to simply charge the phone.
