It's finally sunny here!! about two feet of snow on the ground..but sunny:) and the day's are getting longer...I can feel the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!
 
I wouldn't put it past huh to play chicken with a train, but doing it in a tunnel is probably a bad idea. :p

because they let school out early and canceled all afternoon activities..

Spent yesterday hacking an inch of ice off the sidewalks while it was raining. It snowing now. Going down to 2° tonight. On Sunday, I'm turning the clocks back to 1972. :p

Yes, Sunday is the end of Standard Time in favor of DST, even though it doesn't save anything, it just moves it around.

The last time I put this body in a swimsuit, they called the Manatee Rescue Squad on me. :p
 
There are several world famous shipyards in these surroundings. Today a newly built yacht passed our region. The 83.5 meter long ship will be transported via Aalsmeer to Rotterdam. The yacht is so special because it would be the first hybrid superyacht. The yacht is powered by a diesel engine, three hybrid gensets (partly electric generator) and a rudder propeller which can rotate 360 degrees. Thanks to the latest technology just moving brings as much as thirty percent fuel savings.
Those "savings", is already invested in the yacht. An underwater lounge where you can watch the underwater landscape, a cinema, a nine-meter pool, five guest suites, including a VIP suite with balcony, a teak deck and a garage. It is said to cost 150 million euros.
