Root Circle Battery Indicator

So basically I can go in, and replace something I dont like with another image and push it back onto the phone and it will change it? holy sweet crap!

Like I just found the GPS notification symbol
stat_sys_gps_acquiring
and
stat_sys_gps_on

I can swap out those two images with say, GPS symbols from another theme then repush the framework file through adb and it will put them in right?

Thats what Ive been doing.. im going to try and combine some NEX theme with the Galaxy theme..I hope I can do that without getting in trouble.. If i post it Ill give kudos to the ppl who actually made the themes. If I can't do that hopefully Fab can let me know lol

Just be careful when replacing/editing the .9 images...
 
also, if im thinking right with this.... couldnt this be done with any apk file? change it to a zip, swap images, put it back to an apk then install it?
 
for this circular battery, are these the only files i need (excluding first and last files)?
i'm gonna attempt to put it into the framework that i'm currently using.

Thats kinda what ive been doing... I take the .png from the images i want one by one and replace the ones that have the same name on the theme im editing just to make sure everything is lined up right.

One... I just swapped out some battery icons in the Galaxy S theme and it worked perfect looked good too. I googled "DROID circle battery" and found a whole bunch of them out there and a lot of good read ups on what to do with .9.png files and how to edit certain files. My GF hated my phone before and now that I decided to try this out she is going to hate it even more :D

Right now im working on putting some stuff together from Galaxy S and the NEX theme. When I get it all done ill post it on here for you all to try it, unless FAB says I can't use his stuff.

post a screen or even walkthrough on how you replaced the icons? Even link to where you learned?

So far all ive done is just found the Icons that I liked made sure its in .png format. Then renamed it to something like stat_sys_battery_90.png so it matches the one you overwrite.

The 90 in the name is for the battery %. so you will need one for 100...90...80...and so forth. The NEX theme goes 100..80...60..40..20...10...0.

I know our phones report every %10 so I believe you could put ever 10 if you wanted to. Im going to try tonight if I have enough time.

Right now ive just been swapping battery icons.. since the SBF came out im going to be a lot more brave and try other icons and what not. Hope this helps ya out.

OK I THINK I FOLLOW. I KNOW I KIDNA DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR MY STATUS BAR NOTIFICATION TO PLACE AN ANDROID IN THERE (SEE ATTACHED/BOTTOM OF NOTIFICATION) AND USED NINJA MORPH TO DO SO BUT I WENT INTO THE FRAMEWORK TO DO THIS. MAYBE YOUR WAY IS SIMPLER

EDIT: Im just editing the files in the framework-res.apk

Actually yea i think it is the same thing. The app i used allows me to edit the framework on the phone without using a pc. Your using the pc to do it. So yea cool. Im going to have to look into this stuff more to really customize how i want mmmyyyyy phone.

Possibly even team up for something in the future? Lol im good with the graphics for a 19yo

BTW WHAT ICONS DID YOU CHOOSE TO USE FOR BATTERY? WHERE DID YOU FIND OR DID YOU MAKE THEM? WHAT SIZE DO THEY HAVE TO BE FOR THIS?
