Root Class 10 SD Card Transfer Speeds...

Hey guys I recently bought a PNY 8gb Class 10 SD card and I get great transfer speeds in recovery but when using the USB mode in CM7 I am getting 500KB/s transfer speeds and I should be getting around 10 MB/s transfer speeds. Why is this? I have put the cache size to 2048 and has made little difference but when I run a sd card test it tests just fine.

I think I remember this being an AOSP issue.

If you want, make a nandroid and flash a sense-based ROM to verify this.

You can always nandroid back to your current setup after the test.

Going to give it a shot, I did not notice this issue on the Epic 4G with the stock ROM and CM7. I just missed my Evo so I came back :P

It increased to 2-3 MB/s, is this a common issue? Does not make sense that the "SD Tools" app reports the right speeds but when actually trying to transfer files its less than half of the 10 MB/s I am supposed to get. Like I said the Epic 4G did not have a problem.

Ok so when I enable USB mode I can see all of my folders except for media and DCIM but I can see them on the phone. Any ideas?

the main reason the transfer is slower from the phone to the computer is because its not just sd card speed, it has to go through the phone software as well.

if you have a card reader that will read on your computer pull the card and do it there see what it gets then.
