Ok, I've noticed that a coworker I work with has the exact same phone as me, only that it's on ClearTalk and not Boost Mobile. It had Froyo on it instead of Gingerbread and going to update it brings up the "system is up to date" message.
The thing I'm wondering is...does the Odin roms and stuff here work with the ClearTalk version of the phone? ClearTalk is just another prepaid service like Boost and StraightTalk, but I am not familiar with them at all. I just found it odd that his phone couldn't run gingerbread like mine can. I haven't seen anything here that shows any distinction from this phone based on carrier as compatibility regarding that is not mentioned anywhere as it seems the crowd here is predominately Boost Mobile folks.
Yes I checked the model number of his phone. It matches mine.
