Help Clock shows wrong city in wrong time zone

My issue started about 9 months after owning the EVO, at first I could power my phone off and it would correct itself but only for a few days. After going through tech support and visiting our local retailer, sprint sent me a new phone well refurb the new phone did the same thing but within two days, called them again after another 4 hours on the phone and threatening to change carriers they sent me another refurb, same thing after day 5, long story short I received my third refurb a week ago and woke up today to my clock saying 5:49 pm when in fact it was 8:49 am. They said after 3 refurbs they can send a new phone, but I don't have the energy to spend yet another 4 hours on the phone and after reading here it sounds like it would still have the same issue. This is so frustrating :( I have always used my phone for an alarm clock. There has to be a fix.

So I just got the Evo a month ago everything was going great. Then it told me I was in Mays Landing and wouldnt change when I went back home. I went in and tried changing the location and deleted Mays Landing and now it says 'My location' and no weather. I kinda liked the weather on my phone like it was. I have restarted my phone, deleted the clock and put the widget back on the home screen and nothing it still saying 'My Location'. Can someone please help me get it back to the original way

Same thing on my 27 day old Evo. I tried updating the profile but that only worked temporarily. What does seem to work is updating the PRL.

Settings - System updates - Update PRL.

I went from Nairobi, to Pakistan and now back to New Jersey.

I also checked the automatic settings on the date and time screen, everything seems ok. Will update if i hit the black hole on my way home again.

What I did to solve this problem was to remove the widget, readd it and set it up again. Now, it's working fine.

Is anyone having problems with keeping the correct time on their LG Optimus V. Since a recent update that Virgin did my clock keeps going back 2 hours. Only solution provided by tech support was to turn off ph and pull the battery, which I have done, or to do a hard reset, which based upon prior threads doesn't work either. Virgin is trying to state that it is an internal clock issue, but I know that the time gets pulled from the cell towers....Does anyone have any solutions? This is really frustrating!

I live in a south western suburb of Sydney and my HTC is insisting that I live in San Juan, Domincan Republic out in the Caribbean! Now if anyone knows anything about geography, that's pretty much on the other side of the world on the northern hemisphere LOL
I'm losing it. I'm ready to throw my fone on the floor in an angry tantrum!

Do you have Location Services turned on? To determine your correct location, Android needs access to either the wireless networks around you, the cell towers near you, or your GPS. ;)

If you leave all of these off, then it will not update where you are. Go into Settings and then Location, and turn access to wireless networks on, or you could just manually enter your location in the clock. :)

I have an Incredible 2 and I'm on Verizon... I just experienced this for the first time today. My previous phone was the first Incredible, and I never had this issue. Then today, it tells me I am on Korean time, and I am in Seoul, South Korea. Except I live in Vermont, USA. What??

I restarted my phone and when it turned back on, it told me the correct time as EST. When I checked it twenty mins later, I was back in Seoul. I had been on WiFi and Mobile Network, so I turned WiFi off. I cleared out the data in the clock app, and restarted again. So far, so good. If that doesn't solve it, I'll manually set the time and hope that sticks!

My wife's Sprint HTC EVO 4G wigged out and said it was four hours back on the clock a couple of days ago. She turned it off and then on again and that seemed to fix the issue. ;)

At least it did not say she was in another part of the world though. Haha. :D

My son has an LG Ally and I have the LG flip phone. Just a little over a week ago both our phones started jumping an hour ahead several times during the day. No rhyme or reason. Our service is with Verizon and we have reprogrammed both phones completely and are still having the trouble. We live just outside Atlanta, GA. Is anyone else having this problem?

I was having the same issue where the flippy clock with the weather built in was not updating or was not accurate. I FIXED this issue by going to

SETTINGS-->Location and check the box for "Use wireless networks" option.

This fixed my issue. Hope this will solve your issue as well.
Hey this worked for me too! I also am right outside Fort Worth. Now my weather is showing for Haltom City where I actually am!
