thats becuase clockworkmod 3.x and above no longer supports amend script (a good 50% of what the old roms used for flashing and some new roms)
CWM tried to push the community to use the new scripting language by removing the old one from their recoveries which imo isnt good play for this very reason.

I dont know what recovery support the wildfire has. its likely you need an older version of CWM for wildfire to support whatever you are flashing

i dont know if there is amonRA for wildfire as you could probably use that

Oh right, thanks man, i found some links to recoverys Here

Could you tell me how to flash one? i only see ways to flash em once you have root access which..i dont.

Either during the root process with unrevoked or fastboot flash once s-off, with the desire at least anyway

tried Android flasher, i just get the error "recovery.img already exists"

im currently s-off too.
what a ball ache this is!

you might need to use fastboot and scary as it is you might need to erase recovery first

fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img

Not sure how to do any of those since I've never needed to use em.
Been trying to get it rooted for the past 4 hours now, time for a break :-)

use the fastboot faq in our guides

this is the exact reason we ask people to use fasboot/adb manually instead of things like androidflasher as now you dont know how to do it, where as you would had you of done it they way we advise the 1st time round :P

i love being a pain in the ass "i told you so" type person. dont give me a reason to be that person

I completely agree with ya, i have never needed to use adb/fastboot but im currently reading up on how to use it, will be handy for when i consider using it on my desire..so its ok..you can say it..go on..say it! say i told you so..
