Root ClockWorkMod v5.0.2.7 (file system/recovery utility) update 01/12/12 FIXED

Arghh do i just put my phone in down load mode use the SPHM820.ops and put the
hk_1_2_cwm_rev_4 file on the one package tab than flash and its over ?

Can you please tell me how you move apps to your SD card without that application. I need to do so to install more apps. I haven't used any method to move them except for the built in method when you go to the application and move to SD card. I'd greatly appreciate the help!

I tried to use the one package option and it says: "Check Image Files". I'm not sure how to flash this either.

It helps if you click the one package option to select your file. DUH! Haha. Got it working now. Can someone tell me the "proper" way to flash this though so I can make sure I'm doing it right?

If you're rooted you could use link2sd from the market but the a2sd method will allow for even more apps to be installed. neither is compatible with the built-in method however. you would have to move your apps back to internal and then install one of these solutions.

yeah but you could always flash ShabbyRc1 back on

did you get a2sd working on ShabbyRc1?

what was the issue
 
been tryin to mount usb storage. it connects randomly and when it doe it will unmount after a while. i'd say less then a minute because I don't have enough time to copy a backup from pc. just so u know when it unmounts it stays on the screen with option to unmount. so it looks like it is still mounted. but u can't access sd crad from your pc. thanks tho for working on this. it's a very useful option just hope u can get it to stay mounted

It stays for me, I copied 2 backups and a couple files no problem.

i have not had any issues like that, and I dont think anyone else is

maybe try different usb cable /port, computer, different sd card

do you have any of these issues when you are not in CWM and booted into Android?
 
ok i did this yesterday and download titan backup and busybox only too apps i download worked fine for 8 hours then i plugged it into my computer went for a run came back 45 min later it was dead thought maybe the computer didnt charge at all so i plugged in the wall charger still dead not sure if it was just a fluke or if this somehow did something to my phone does any body have any ideas why this would happen i dont see any threads about it and its not bricked its completly dead

i really dont see how this could cause your problem

did you try taking battery and sd card out
can you get into recovery mode (power + vol up)
can you get into download mode (power + camera + vol down)

which version did you flash the odin flashable or the cwm flashable?

the only way CWM would kill a phone is if you tried to flash somethig, and it overwrites the bootloaders
 
I used HROARKERNEL 1.2 and CWM rev 4 flashable with Odin and it worked no problem for more than 6 hours didnt have one problem then battery was getting low so i threw it on the computer to charge and now dead so idk maybe it was just a fluke just checking and no its dead no life what so ever computer doesnt even see it so i know its not just the screen. But i just got it 3 days ago from radio shack so ill just exchange for new one
 
I am using a Samsung Precedent that was just introduced to straight Talk, I am a complete nooby but was able to flash and root it from a Boost Prevail Rom. And now thanks to you I was able to do a complete back up using ClockWorkMod . I am using FROYO.EE14

That's pretty cool but what I'm wondering is if Samsung provided the source & is it intact with what's missing from the prevails source? Also is it da same? Like for internal memory,or kernel. Differences.? I know u flashed the rom or rooted to ee14 but was it on dat originally? What's you're OS & space etc? Just trying 2 compare da 2! Thanks in advanced!

physically they are the same exact phone, except the casing is a little different

they use the same versions of the bootloader, kernel and os, but you cannot mix and match them, the precedent bootloader wont load the prevail kernel, probably because of build strings

so if you odined the previal image to a precedent you have to do all three tar files

the basebands have different model ID but they probably are both based on AMSS 6225

they have not released source yet
 
I've been wondering if you can flash shabbymod in CWR?

Is this possible?
