it's my understanding that the kernel is what determines OTG capability? is that true?

I'm not exactly sure. I do know the kernel has a lot to do with OTG support but I don't know if it's all kernel based. I also know that our kernel doesn't support OTG.

exactly why i asked. our kernel doesn't support it and i was wondering if it was possible to hack one together that does.

It may be possible. It would take someone more talented and knowledgeable than me and source from a similar device to do it though.

Sorry people, no dice on the kernel tonight. Still not booting and I've run out of time to work on it tonight. I'll see what I can do over the next couple of days. I'm going to start clean tomorrow. Maybe I'll find some different toolchains to compile with. If all else fails, I should be getting a new computer soon and a 64 bit build environment might make the difference.

Just to show you all that I really am working, here's a pic of my latest attempt to compile a working kernel. I switched to Linaro 4.7 toolchains and the kernel I'm compiling is for JB since it seems to be what most people are running now. If it works this time, I'll let you all know and start working on some mods. If you want an ICS kernel, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Just an update for you all. I just got a new computer and have a 64 bit build environment finally. I've been thinking of getting into rom development and wanted to know what you guys think. Would you be interested in an aokp based rom with the same tweaks in the kernel?

Just to let everyone know, I'm suspending active development on my own kernel in favor of working with bionx on getting a kernel for his rom going. I will try and work similar changes into my jb branch and release it as a flashable zip as soon as the bionx kernel is done.

Thank you all for your patience.
