hello guys

is there was way to close an app without it stay running in the background?
every time i use apps or anything els on my desire hd, it stays in the Notification feed and when i hold Home botton.

i downloaded Advanced Task Killer, but it doesnt close the apps all the time.
some apps (such as Skype etc) stay open.
how do i close it?

i dont wanna run out of battery after 6 hours.

thx

Don't use a task killer; more harm than good.

Android manages background apps very well, and will close them when necessary. They aren't killing your battery if they're not actually doing anything.

For some apps where sign-in is required, you might have to hit Menu and then 'Sign Out' or 'Exit.' I don't know about Skype, but I do it with Google Talk when I don't want it to hang around waiting for messages.

by holding Home, the apps that i see there are the one thats active atm? or is it wrong?
That is a list of the last 6 apps that were launched, regardless of whether or not those apps are still running. You might search the market for a task switcher, there are a few good ones that show running apps and let you switch back to them. Androids manages things pretty well, you shouldn't need to worry about much.

If you're using ATK, go to the application and press menu, then set your auto kill level to, "crazy". That might fix your issue.

There is a difference between how the apps are programmed. Some of them will display notification icons and run in the background, but you should be able to change that in their settings.

I don't use task killers and I don't need them. The apps are active, but they are on a frozen state sitting in RAM and ready to jump on my command. There is no need for manual interference.
