Root CM 10.1 Nightlies Discussion

So, I just installed the 5-24 nightly. On booting, after the LG screen when it would normally go to the CM boot animation, I just get an all-blue screen. No text/images, no changes. Currently restoring from yesterday's nandroid.

Anyone else have this flat blue screen issue?

Yep, same result dirty-flashing 5/24 nightly over 5/22. Dirty-flash 5/22 back over top of 5/24 and everything seems good.

Anyone try a clean wipe/flash of 5/24? If not, I'll give it a go and report back shortly...

[UPDATE] Yep, FWIW, same blue screen issue with a clean clean clean install of 5/24. Guess we'll all sit on 5/22 (or *way* back on RC2) for now.
 
Typically... Dirty flashing won't do much beyond give you tons of force closes. The system will still boot though since everything it needs in the boot image and system partition was overwritten by the flash.

IF you're getting blue screens at any point of the boot process... It's a bad build (or bad pack). No matter what combination of wipes/flashing you do, you won't fix this.
 
I can record 1080p just fine through the stock app. I've only recieved a gallery close notification once and it happened when trying to start the video cammera while the phone was rotated horizontal. I haven't had the issue since and I've never gotten the issue if I start the video camera mode while vertical and then rotate to horizontal before recording. CM10.1 RC2

I just recorded a 1min clip with no issues. I'm also running a class 10 sdcard, which if you're running into a buffer crash, would be where I would start looking.
 
on 5-22 nightly in settings clicked on 1080p and crashed only in horizontal position. Opened again camera and checked in settings, there already 1080p.

(Nevermind about rotation issue) Another issue here in camcorder mode showed improperly rotation when your phone turned more than 90 degree. After that image upside in vertical but I hold phone in horizontal position. This issue only my phone has problem with gyro. In Google Skymap showed incorrect heading.
 
A mind is a terrible thing to waste :) Read something and thought it said something else... Going back to sleep ;)

RC3 should be coming soon :)
