Root CM 10.2 Nightlies Discussion

Not sure what's up. Just installed m1 yesterday... WiFi battery use is through the roof.

Here's a pastie: Wifi Drain - Pastebin.com

This is odd since the last nightly I'd installed (28th, 30th maybe) only dropped about 10% over night if I didn't plug it in. This one dropped 88%.

Per BadgerRed "Go into System Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Scanning always available. Uncheck that box."

Ditto. I have no noticeable WiFi drain on M1 and I've got 3 hours logged. It doesn't even show up on my top users.

I joined the m1 club and things have settled down and seem normal so far, dirty install. I maintain about 20 user aps in the rom to save ram, saw the lg logo a few times while running titanium heavily. The weather channel and weather bug are better, they frequently quit without error shortly after launch on 10.1.3.

Hmm....

Also seems to be having a rough time getting 4g for me... I'm sitting in my backyard, maybe 200 yards from my tower... signal strength is great.... just isn't having it. Might be time to clean flash again.

*edit*

2 hours or so later of sitting in the same spot... it finally decided I have 4g... for a couple minutes...weird. oh. Went back to 3g when I tried to post about it... it knows....

Trying to figure out multiple reboot issues. Any non stock ROM I flash has random reboots. During texting, mid call, randomly when opening an app. Back to icy fusion I go. Any common reasons for this?

It seems possible that some of our CPUs have trouble running at full speed. Have you tried dropping it down a bit, in my case it only took 1490 instead of 1500 which isn't even noticeable.

It's going to be my daily driver but I just had a heck of a time getting into twrp for a backup. The power button and rom toolbox's reboot widget both were just rebooting CM, it was the 4th attempt that did it. Anybody else?

Try updating busy box.

I was having same issues getting into CWM. Had to pull battery and enter recovery from fresh boot, not reboot.

I will try this. Never gave it a thought. I'm thinking mine has one of those. Also noticed more issues when running clean master and greenify, don't even want to talk about the fact my device can not handle cross breeder what so ever.

Is there something wrong with the CM busybox? The version is up there and even has the bionic buzz word. I could go back to using the stericson I used pre-CM or is there a recommended version?

I always just use the newest version in the busybox installer app. Ive had issues with the CM bundled one before where reboot recovery will just reboot.

Were you connected to a power source at the time? I think I've seen that behavior if I'm plugged in. Try unplugging and rebooting to recovery. Once in TWRP, I'm able to plug back in and TWRP recognizes/charges.

I may be imagining the whole thing, but give it a shot!

Running latest CM and noticed Google Play started updating when WiFi connected and started updating several apps simulatenously. I see that one glitch is that after installed app started download for another app and previous app still installing but really finished installed.

I am talking about status bar glitch.

Not plugged while reboot recovery glitch, I've recently went wireless charging and am really loving it. I've consumed so much media that I have left it plugged all day and more which also gives problems; I have seen it power off and get stuck in the charging mode and refuse to power up as if the battery was overly depleted. That's a fun one to get out of!

Guess I'll try reinstalling busy box, thing is it's an intermittent glitch which makes it curious.

I never trusted the multi/automatic update thingie and stopped using it a long time ago. Sometimes it's a pain updating one at a time but at least it helps me keep track of updates.

GREAT ROM. Everything about it works smooth, fast, and re-liable. The LG logo is annoying, but whatever, it'd just be a black screen if that wasn't there anyhow during loads. Still major issues with Bluetooth however. You can get it to pair, and connect once at start. After that, it's heavily unreliable, requiring a reboot to get working, and even then it sometimes doesn't work. Still can not simply turn off and back on through toggle. Has anyone been able to figure out why since like 4.1 these BT issues have existed? I remember seeing it's a different stack now, no longer BZ. Any chance at fixing this? My CM 10 ROM works great with BT but is nowhere near as fast.

Clear Dalvik Cache, Cache, permission in recovery and the reboot to see if that will fix any app crashes.

It's probably due to the same very overlooked camera video issue that happens in most apps that use the camera, aside from the actual camera app.

Still having multiple reboot issues. Even without greenify or clean master. CPU set to 1458, happens randomly with no apps open or during updates or on calls/texts.
