Root CM 10.2 Nightlies Discussion

Now that kk is working I can take a look at kernel issues. The one from BadgerRed looks like it might be fixable.

I'm still getting random lockups where the screen freezes, buttons give haptic feedback but don't respond, power button doesn't turn off the screen or reboot. Tried grabbing a logcat, device not found... last_kmsg didn't have anything useful.... so I doubt that's gonna be easy to resolve.

I often get reboot when using browser and had several tabs. Usually this happen also after lagging often. May be not enough memory in GPU buffer.

Might not be random, I noticed reboot/lockups occur when phone is worked hard like a very long post in tapatalk, a large power nzb download or uptime greater than 2 days.

As far as the LG logo issue goes would it make sense to replace the images used for the logo with clear images? I don't know much about this stuff but that seems like it would work. I just don't know where to find them.

Latest Nightly kills SD card mount. SD card shows not mount even after removing and reinstalling the card. I tested redownloading and reinstalling the nightly same result. Rolled back to nightly ending in 10

Funtimes

Kitkat growing pains sorry.

Should be fixed today.

tdm... I don't like you... -____-

I spent 2 days working on cwm 6.0.4.4... It had sdcard mounting issues... I FIX THE MOUNTING ISSUE!!! but guess what...? YOU FIX IT FIRST AND NOW ITS ON ROM MANAGER!!!

my spirit... is broken... but oh well... lol

just so you guys know... cwm 6.0.4.3+ is necessary to flash... *cough cough* kitkat based roms *cough cough* just a hint ;)

Actually I just got stuck in recovery again. I would advise holding off for now until the issues are sorted out.

Should only need that if you boot recovery by buttons if I'm not mistaken

I almost always use "adb reboot recovery" and that definitely sets the nvram flag.

Anyway.... I'll try to get good builds done and verified tomorrow. I know it's not actually needed yet, but I hate having those bad builds hanging out there ready to bite users.

Yes the booting back into recovery is lack of postrecovery script.

The fstab is actually correct. CWM moved to vold in recovery. Sucks for adb addicts like me but seems to work.

OK, that makes sense. I'm still confused by the way you have storage mounting though.

/devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host /storage/sdcard vfat defaults

Why /storage/sdcard instead of just /sdcard? Is this to make things work with KK?
