lmao no xD Sacred has made post about CM7 and the fact the camera doesnt work and how he needs his phone to record all the crazy stuff his kids do. He is a father that wants to have catch all those moments that will make the best memories years from now so I was just saying that there is a fix for him eventually.

Ha ha, yeah, I do, too. Wow, I'm surprised you remember that, lol. I do catch those moments for now as I am on OA2.3 but I love CyanogenMod and would be using the eff out of it if the camera worked. I tried Fast Burst but its too low quality for me, lol

I have a strange memory ._. I can remember some of the smallest insignificant details out there but some major ones just fly by. Its a gift and a curse. Anyways i too hope that CM gets completed as ive never had a smartphone that has it working. Only had two smartphones, the Admire and the Motion. Both are showing promise with CM but the Motions locked bootloader sucks. If it was unlocked there could be plenty of roms for it but i didnt get the phone for that. I wanted a better upgrade from the Admire and i got what i wanted.

No rush mang. We have waited this long for a working cm. At least someone IS working on it, and there are plenty of roms out there to get us by until then. But just you wait as soon as it is done people will be asking for more cause their a.d.d. takes over.

still having issues same as the unofficial version, camera, airplane mode, data, mms, and play store (rookie). have tried everything I can think of from mms fixes, changing build props, gapps, apn backup / restores, couple other things here and there I thought might help but not a dev by any means... any guidance / other things I might try? thnx in advance...

Seems like only a build could fix these issues. Just have to wait and patient with AquerMang. Remember he does have a life. After all not every device has a version of CM, so were lucky to have what we have.

patience is a virtue! believe me, no complaints here, extremely happy for what we do have, and all the work put into this, especially since these devs are doing this, basically free, and taking time out of their lives to help us rom fiends...TY DEVS! I've racked my brain on this one so I can only imagine what building these consists of, just wanted to post my issues, maybe someone found fixes they thought were obvious, and dev or not, maybe some magic can come of this!
nemus camera and fast burst camera will work for this rom..at least it did for the first build of it like last year or whatever..
and if youre using an apn restore app..here is another that worked for me to get a better data signal

i used that also on the last build and i think i had to edit the build.prop to show the same mcc and mnc as the apn-conf.xml to get data running better.

the camera does not work in this build at all so fast burst and nemus dont work, i actaully tried them when flashed this and as for the apn fixes, i myself haven tried fix it and i dont possibily know how to put if it where as simple as that, then it would already be fixed. see the apn-conf.xml has to match up with and xml file within the mms.apk for mms to work. and the apn-conf has to match with what the cdma-conf.xml file says. but there is also more to it, other thigns could affect data and mms, best course of action is to wait for any new builds and test them out. unless you are willing to experiment yourself and have an activated phone, which i do not so id be kicking a dead chicken

All I do is take the modified apns.xml and replace the old one without unzipping and go about everything else like normal and it works. I don't change any other files so I don't know how true that is about the files having to match. As for this version of CM7, I get nothing at all for whatever reason. Oh well, camera isn't working so I didn't bother too much, lol.

shabby said something about an xml file within the mms.apk in a post within another phones forum. i looked into it and there was an xml file that contains some apn-like lines. its true what you say though, you only have to mess with the apn.xmls but its weird that the mms.apk has those as well, to some degree. they have to have some sort of connection

may i ask if you can read? it's not really a fix in it self, its an extracted flashable zip with some parts, the gs3 mms apk i used for metro, and a script to fix some databases which is probs not completely needed. reed the updater-script and the sh script.
i guess you could turn it into a flashable zip if you really wanted

what forum are we in? what phone are we speaking of here? thought it might have been modded for the admire, since again, we ARE in the admire forums, or am I drunk again...
