Root cm10.2

i modified the build.prop. instead of defaulting to network mode 8 it defaults to network mode 9 because that is what mouse says makes lte work right from boot

ok new update, test run of the proper boost mobile apn for lte to be put into the cyanogenmod source. the old way worked for us but if it is to be added to cm itself it cant conflict with sprint and it did...

you should see no difference after a factory reset, if mms and lte still work we are good to go, if not i broke it lol

for reference, the question "when will (insert bug here) be fixed" is pointless. when am i gonna win the lottery? you can ask me that too, not gonna be able to tell you when or whether it will happen though. not tryin to be mean about it but i cant tell you when anything WILL be fixed, and neither can anyone else, when it IS fixed we can let you know, but any answer to that question would be purely speculation

Keep getting a fail on install..

hey robertech :) when did you get a force?

fixing the assert line now. stock had stuff about hayes in some values and aurora in others and cm likes to put that stupid assert line in. cant say i dont get it but if you are gonna go around flashing anything and everything without knowing well enough not to flash roms from random devices you dont need to be flashing roms and maybe you need to be taught the hard way

im kinda a douche though so it may just be me that feels that way lol

anyway i got it updated, enjoy

I learned the hard way a while ago. But hey, being a douche saves phones lol

Speaking of assert lines and what not, idk if this has to do with the ROM or recovery, but I plugged my phone into the computer for the first time since I got this phone, since then my recovery has changed to the non touch fixed one and ROM to cm10, and there are drivers it asks to install, without them I can't access USB storage, I ended up booting back into cm10 to use it, but the drivers for recovery wouldn't install. Does anyone know which drivers I'm supposed to use? I can remember one driver just said "aurora", But failed to install.

the drivers are built into the stock image. CM will not have them and they have been removed from DSF to save space. You can extract the CD image from a stock nandroid and install the drivers, or you can return to stock and install them from your phone. Once the drivers are installed you should be able to use cm without any issues

Score, thanks for fixing. Just got the Force last Friday. Killed the sequent a couple weeks ago. This thing is a beast.

compared to the sequent im sure its magnificent lol. im still stuck with the sequent unfortunately, ive just been wanting to work on this project for a while and had access to a force for a minute so i started working on this project. my lack of experience and a test unit is catching up to me though

I have to say your doing an excellent job for not having the device.

im trying but progress is slowing, right now we are trying to figure out why the newest cwm mounts internal sd instead of external... we wanna get an official one made up but sadly we have to have cwm built from the cm10.2 source

I'd lend a hand if I had more PC, but as it sits it takes me 20 minutes to compile a kernel. If I was to attempt a cm10 build I'm sure it would be done somewhere around 2014

The latest cm10 broke data for me. And all drivers ever needed to install were all installed, the first cwm worked, I think it stopped working after cm10.

lol hey it happens, i got a bottom of the line dual core intel core i3. takes about 2 hours to run a build from scratch, my main problem is the 6-12 hours it takes to upload a build

k, trying something else, modified the apn, see if that works, if that doesnt work then i just need to fix the build.prop

When I lose 4g in a weak spot I lose connection instead of immediately falling back to 3g and have to wait for 3g to connect.

i couldnt really tell you. that might just be the way it has to be with cm unless someone else can figure it out. to be quite honest youre lucky i managed to get 4g working at all lol

I know. I'm happy about that, but the way it used to work is 3g would be readily available to connect to. Just letting you know. Any plans to introduce a custom kernel at all?
