Root CM10 Development (moved to upp)

https://github.com/superr/warp2_device_tree
that is what we are working with
and the problem seems to be that the stuff in the framework folder was made for cm9 not cm10
so we are going to replace the bigger one with one of these
http://db.tt/rKl1OIaX
then we will see if we can at least get a build out of it

oh yea and in case it helps here is our cwm device tree without all the extra crap done to it
https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B1pvmzqy_P8odTQ0dTl2RG1rZEU

to be quite honest i dont have any idea what im doing, im just kinda playing it by ear trying random things to see what they do or dont do

ya gotta figure if i keep chuckin rocks im bound to hit something eventually lol. thats how i got clockworkmod 6 working and that only took 2 days

i have joe stones cm10 RIL. you are using the wrong tree lol.
ill put somethiing together. i will need testers. unless someones feels really nice and donates a sequent lol. just easier to do if you actually have the device.
either way. i have built cm10 for warp. hopefully warp2 wont suffer from the same memory issues

we are using joe stones cm10 RIL. That is what got the build to complete for the first time :)

Tester # 1 reporting for duty!!!

formatting all is likely to remove everything, including your backups, and of course cwm itself, not a good idea

thank you, yea i mean we didnt know where to start, all files in there should be for our phone but we used hoarks source to decide what to pull from our phone. figured it was a starting point. if having a cwm backup of our rom will help its here

The device tree looks very incomplete.
Missing Root, Recovery, Device_warp2.mk
i just might make a new tree myself for you guy.
also going to be using joe stones ZTERIL.java and ZTERIL2.java

Any help is greatly appreciated. I do not know what I am doing, I am just a guy that wants cm10 really badly. Thanks!!!

and im happy to test myself but the test build we just made is still at 50% for me lol. takes a few, but yea just so you know, im not sure how the partition table will work out, for clockworkmod the settings are one thing and for the stock rom the 16 17 and 18 blocks are actually linked to 17 18 and 19. its all in the recovery.fstab, 19 is data, 18 is cache, 17 i dont know

just two guys that wants cm10 really badly. Thanks!!!

i want it bad, it boots on OG warp and runs, but it only sees 143mb ram. so thats our problem with OG warp.
The parition layout is identical to warp1, most things warp1 will work on warp2.

ill see what i can do. building a test right now. from superr's tree.

EDIT: i need to make a new tree..

wait... was that device tree you have posted on the github all you had in there when you built?

with the exception of the ril files being swapped for joe stones cm10, yes

edit: the reason they are not on github is...I don't know how to update it yet :)

and for reference the data partition and cache partition are wrong on the githubs boardconfig im pretty sure so they might still be wrong in the fstab as well

you still have the old values that zte tricked us into using. data is 19 and cache is 18 if i remember correctly

oops :( I am happy to build anything if you want to make changes. Honestly though, this is kinda over my head. I will keep doing anything I can to help but the troubleshooting part is not my field. I am clueless.

I switched them back because you said cwm uses different partitions than the rom, and I was building the rom. My bad
