The files name/location gets put into the proprietary-files.txt, and extract-files.sh pulls the files listed in proprietary-files.txt from the phone into the vendor tree. afaik...we son't have a device.mk. We have a device_warp2.mk. And no, I have not done anything with either. Should I?
 
actually, the device_warp2.mk doesn't have any of the proprietary files listed, I don't think that is the problem. Perhaps the missing device.mk?

it seems to also take the files from that list and put them into a warp2-vendor.mk using the setup-makefiles.sh, so that should all be taken care of using the scripts

it puts them in warp2-vendor-blobs.mk, but you are correct. Not sure about the device.mk downthemachine was asking about. We just don't have one. I know aosp builds use this, but not sure if we need one.

i dont think that should be there at all if the commands to set the environment back up were all done and things were input correctly. why is it trying to build that file if we already have it???

not sure, but the files are in the device tree and are listed in the warp2-vendor-blobs.mk

So check your device for the file if it doesn't have it then remove the line with the file name from warp2-vendor-blobs.mk in the vendor folder. All the files currently in proprietary-files.txt exist on our phone. I have edited all the wrong files out and replaced them with the right files. There is no error when running extract-files.sh. All the files are successfully copied from the phone to the vendor tree. There are definitely files that should be in proprietary-files.txt but are not :) I just don't know what they are yet.
 
what, are you afraid youre gonna break our broken tree? lol. just take a look at the other files that did get outputted and mimic them, should be fine
 
i cant access freenode, it wont let me in and i cant register on the server if i cant access the server... so im kinda screwed
having nothing but boost mobile internet SUCKS lol. if i remember correctly tho i needed to do sasl, but if i cant register a name on the server in the first place i cant log into it, and you have to have access to it to register a name, kinda self defeating

you need a irc client ;)
 
got an irc client, and it has nothing to do with the os. they implemented tighter security on certain ip ranges, and obviously boost mobiles ips are one of them. i cant register with the name server without gaining access to the server in the first place, and it keeps kicking me out saying i need to login with sasl

thing is you dont have to register to use or connect to irc. ;)

I dunno if its a boost thing or not, but shouldnt be, its your data use, you can use how you wish. ;)

freenode and sprint ips dont mix apparently, freenode blocked them from accessing without using an sasl login. and my boost mobile phone is my ONLY source of internet

the only thing i could possibly do is register via proxy, but i cant do that at the moment, the computer i can take over isnt available at the moment

so no YOU dont have to register, but i do because of my ip range...

contact someone at freenode I guess, never heard of such, but then again freenode does alot of shyt I've not seen done in the irc world b4 lol
 
eh, itd be easier and faster to remote desktop to my brothers pc later and register, he has charter cable access he just lives in a different state. i always keep a line open tho for things like this and for when he has technical difficulties :D
