File needed is missing or path is wrong or value is incorrect.

The make files in the device tree is where the errors are originating.

I'm "making" the otatools now for the recovery. I'm gonna build that first now, in leu of what shabby said about it maybe not working with recovery we have now.

Also, I'm am getting myself more familiar with git so that I can commit the device tree.

Any updates on cm10 today? :confused:
 
I know it's been a minute...but I have been helping dadcup get a build environment set up.

been trying to compile a working recovery from source as recommended by shabby.

this is learning process for me and I'm still figuring a few things out with the graphics.
good news is:
We have another person working on this and alot of the blanks I needed for cm build are being filled in by my research into getting the recovery compiled.

It's all trial and error with me. I've reloaded my build pc at least 4 times now for fresh starts.

Hang in there guys....
 
this is going to take at least a month guys so i wouldnt go refreshing this page hoping for him to post some amazing beta that has every thing posible working
 
I agree. he's learning from scratch peeps. its going to take a while before a version suitable for testing even rolls out. Like he said, trial and error. let him do his thing.
 
I updated op with CWM-based 6.0.2.8(non-touch)....just need to work bugs out anyway.

I compiled ths from source and had to do alot of code scanning to get it to boot.

Please test and let me know of any bugs so I can move on to touch recovery if the source is in the cm10.1 repo.

I have made a back-up and wiped factory. but thats it so far/for now . I need sleep. I'm seeing code when I close my eyes. lol
 
touch is closed source, koush would much rather you make sure cwm is fully working, track him down, hound him enough until he pulls in your device files, makes a official CWM which you are to test, then he will make official CWMT for you to test. if all those things happen then you will be granted two options you can go on his site and download CWMT.img for your device and manually get it on your phone, or pay him a dollar and buy it for this one phone (as in upgrade and youll have to buy it again) for rom manager to flash it.

i think that about sums it up.

Shabby, if you could take a look and see if I'm on the right track, that would be much appreciated by me.

First of all thanx a ton for all this work you've been doing on cm10.

I flashed the new recovery, did a backup\restore. I flashed a zip I baked in the kitchen to change my splash screen(forgot to make my image upside down) :( but it worked.

I couldn't get the USB mounted. Is that a known bug or am I doing something wrong? I made shure that I mounted the storage but the SD- ext won't mount.

Also, my computer makes a noise like something is being plugged in but nothing shows up.
Im running windows 8

I will check on the usb mount when my pc loads again. I don't think I added lun file.

But the sd ext is for if your sdcard is formatted that way
