I had done this to no affect. CM Browser fixed the issue.I turned on traditional tabs in chrome to fix that issue. The lollipop cards are annoying for browsing anyway.
@jfuginay, I would love to help you try to solve this issue. I apparently also have one of the stubborn Volt variants. . I was wondering if it would help to update the vendor blobs using my Volt as the donor phone. My current theory is that the vendor blobs being used on the current builds are incompatible with our cameras. If it would help, I would gladly try to create a new vendor tree for our Volts. But would that work?I am, however, trying to figure out how to get the gps and camera to work on the recent CM12 roms. There are fixes to be found if you read through this thread. There are a number of lg volts out there which won't work even with the posted fixes, I have one of those volts, so hopefully I can figure something out that works for mine and it will potentially work for others here.
You need to go to developer options after trapping your build number 7 times. Then allow root access to apps and adb.I flashed to the latest Version of this rom and it removed my root, how do I get root back?
These are the trees used in the last build.@jfuginay, I would love to help you try to solve this issue. I apparently also have one of the stubborn Volt variants. . To really test this out, I would ask @Bad_MOFO_33 to give access to the device tree and kernel sources being used for the latest builds (I don't think the ones on Github have been updated, but correct me if I'm wrong). I would then be able to compile a new build on my machine.
Hopefully this will get us closer to solving these issues!
. Thank you should be added to the first page of this threadHey guys, if your Volt can't get LTE and you are annoyed by the signal drops, just change your preferred network type to 3G, this solved the signal drop for me 100%, but still no LTE sadly.
In response to the posts about differences in hardware, I found this listing about a hardware version. I'm running on stock v3 on a Virgin Mobile phone.

I'm on zv5 with a Boost Mobile model. And I'm also at Rev.1.0.
Does your rear camera/GPS work in CM12?
I'm also on Boost ZV5 with Hardware Rev. 1.0; no rear camera or GPS on CM12.I'm on zv5 with a Boost Mobile model. And I'm also at Rev.1.0.

I have Hardware Rev 1.0 on ZV5. I'm on Virgin Mobile and have no rear camera or GPS on CM12.I haven't tried CM12 yet, or any other rom for that matter. I've just been sitting on zv3 this whole time. But yea, I was hoping people could use this to identify why some are having issues and some aren't, if it really is a difference in hardware that's causing problems.
I've got rev 1.0 too, on Boost, but my camera works in CM12. Maybe some of the more detailed device info from one of the kernel tuning apps would show a difference?
