I dirty flashed it, didn't have any problems. did you wipe cache and dalvik cache?Shouldn't I be able to flash and still maintain my apps and data? I tried a dirty flash, then clean flash and restoring data, but it resulted in an endless boot (not loop, just slow moving boot animation for way too long).
I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong and I did try googling updating CM... lol, but it's not working like I had read. Suggestions?
You should update your recovery to the latest twrp. Looks like you may be using an older cwm recovery.Ok so, I went through the installation methods (used ClockWorkMod instead of TWRP though), and it's giving me this error-
This package is for devices: x5, ls740. This device is lg_ls740v3.
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-12.1-20150628-UNOFFICIAL-x5.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
What do I do to not get this error? It's a first gen Volt (bought it in June 2014) that's never had a ROM flashed before, all I have on it is some tweaks from Xposed so I'm not sure why it's giving me this error nor why there's a v3 in the device name. Any help is appreciated, as it stands the stock ROM has gotten unbearably slow, and I'm screwed if my backup doesn't restore.

Update 9-20-2015 : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347819551
LTE/Data connection improved
Latest Nightlies
Camera (PICTURES) work 100% fine not the sharpest but doesn't have greenNo, it's due to the unofficial CM12 build. This happens on many ROMs. Ex: CM11 for the LG F3.
I've had luck though, if I'm outside and point the lens in different directions it will fix the color. I took one inside under florescent lights that looked great but later went back to green before I got a 2nd pic.
Another "fix' is to edit the picture in the Gallery and adjust the Hue. Slide it to the right, somewhere between +35 and +115 looks more normal.
Edit: it's clear to me that the automatic environment lighting detection is FUBAR.
no major changes as i remember.Any major changes to your device trees?
