CM6.2 - is there a silent mode?

Seems like the only options are to lower the ringer to the lowest setting or to set the phone to vibrate. Surely I'm missing something?

When you press the red/end key, slide the to the left(instead of unlocking phone), this will put the phone into silent mode and only the LED will flash when an email/message arrives

I don't follow. When I press the red/end button, it turns on the phone and brings up the screen lock. If the phone is already on when I press the red/end button, it just turns off.

Forgive me, I don't have the phone in hand, but the left icon to unlock the phone will slide right. The right icon, to silence the phone, will slide to the left

Oh, you're talking about the screen icons, not the buttons. I don't have those icons because I use a pattern lock screen.

I disabled the lock screen to try out what you're talking about. That seems to put my phone in vibrate mode - same as when I drag down the taskbar and press the speaker button.

Problem solved. I set up the Power Control widget. Now I can alternate between ring mode, vibrate mode and silent mode.
