I think I'm lossing my mind... I know I read many threads that had info on apps to use to calibrate your battery after installing a new ROM... but dang if I can find a single post now!!

Anybody have a link??? I've only got a few patches of hair left on my head! LOL ;)

personally with cm6/7 my battery life almost double and thats without any batt apps, plus batt apps can do more harm than good depending on your settings. plus make sure in settings and location you turn of GPS, that will eat your batt good.

let me rephrase this...

I read that whenever you change ROMs that you need to "re-calibrate" the battery (full charge to discharge) or something along those lines... wish I could be more discriptive... but I'm drawing blanks!

I think there is an app for this... but it can be done manually... you would need to delete an .ini file...

I read somewhere you can do it in cwm, by clearing battery stats.(PG beat me to the punch) Some posts have said at 100 percent while others say at 0 then clear. I do believe there is an app that will do it for you. There is a guy on youtube called the cooloser and he did a app review yesterday on an app called, you guessed it, battery calibration. Hope this helps.

well im not messing with my batt, and as many times as i flash my batt has no issues...still in good health.

it is not a battery "conditioner"... it is like what PG stated wipe battery stats... let me search that real quick...

Thanks so far peeps!! :)

Thanks MoneyHoarder87 that did the trick and gave me the info i needed...

batterystats.bin that was the "keyword" i was looking for!

Thanks again all of you :)

Iriv, I used to do the same thing, read so much you dont remember where the useful information was. Im going to suggest you begin saving the webpages you visit, Firefox has a few webpage-to-pdf/jpeg addons that i have installed for different situations. ''Download Youtube Videos+ 3.35'' puts a button next to my address bar, i just click it and each page is saved to my hdd before i read it

As for the battery, I TOTALLY READ THAT TOO, in more than one place, but i never did it because the phone was on when i bought it. THEN i find the 'Battery Doctor' app, its small and useless but it does step-by-step walk you through the battery drain/charge process. I did it this time, but cant confirm the APP is actually doing anything; the charging instructions were the same ones given to me by the sales rep who sold me the phone. I thought the battery was shot because it wasnt fully charged before use, but the app suggests doing the procedure once a month for maintenance.
You dont really need the app i dont think, you just have to know to do it. i just flashed the phone today, got it last week, and after following the charge instructions, i KNOW ive got at least an extra 10percent more battery life now.

This is what i suggest, for anyone with a crap battery:
-RUN THE BATTERY ALL THE WAY DOWN, i didnt do that initially either. I let it power itself off, i rebooted it and let it power down again twice before it wouldnt awake anymore AT ALL

- i suggest you DONT TURN THE PHONE ON, just plug it in and let it fully charge. Powering it on increases the charge time, it also voids the whole process if the cord is removed while its on. the instructs DID say that, to let it complete before use, which is why i was glad it was off. when the phone said 90percent charged, the meter STOPPED, well slowed dramatically. The last 10 percent took like an hour to finish, but that was where i was losing power. i assumed it was the phone, it was me.
