Root Cm7 1.1

that's pretty good. I left it on mobile data all day today, switched form cdma+lte to just cdma/evdo auto early around 10am this morning. By the time i got home from work around 5 i was down to 27%. Official time on battery was 11 hours 48 minutes. Not too bad considering there was about 2 hours this morning i could have been on wifi but wasn't, the bad news is i really didn't use my phone at all today. A few texts, music on a 15 minute drive, and thats about it. I will probably go to stock for a day or two to compare just for a benchmark. I am also using a 1700mah battery.

musta been something he hreally didnt like about 5 if he had an update an hour and a half later :D made my morning... downloadin now

Aw, i was just starting to like das BAMF 1.7, hey is there any absolute need to flash back to the stock radio to go to cm7 or can i stay on 1.13.605.7 without problems?
I have also been reading on xda that the 3g/4g problem is still there for some.
Does the stock kernel still boot at 1.8 or did it get lowered?

I think I am going to give this one a go to see what the hype is about. I noticed on the most recent file update that the download is only 90mb. That is considerably smaller than the other ROMs. Is this just an update file or is this the whole thang...? TIA

Cm7 is an AOSP based rom. No sense=much smaller size ;)

That is the full rom,but there is a seperate flash of Google's proprietary apps(gapps ) Wich is another 6ish MB.

Yea man, already grabbed that from your other post (thnx) as well as the old radio. We shall see how it goes.

So should I flash back to the stock radio for this or do you think the newer set would help my 4g issues.

id say try it both ways... the newer radios didnt work as good as the original for me. but worm is having good luck with them :)

I will do that. Facebook wasn't playing nice with bamf for me today keeping my phone awake while the screen was off. Hopefully this doesn't happen on cm7

hey, just noticed, the lithid gapps doesn't have the car home app with it. My older version of the gapps does, anyway to keep the lithid version that has google talk with video and get my car home app back as well. For some reason you can't restore that with titanium backup?

edit: i am just dumb, wasnt looking in the right spot in titanium.
update on my 3g/4g i am still on the 1.13.605.7 radio and had it working for awhile. SEems when i come off of wifi, i have to go back to cdma/evdo auto, then back to lte. gp lock on has been quick and accurate. Got the phone to boot on the stock kernel, i am glad it is not clocked at 1.8 anymore. Hopefully these 3g/4g handoff issues work themselves out, also my camera works on this build. So far i am loving this RC0.6

Yea I'm blown away at how good 0.6 is. I'm still having my weird WiFi issue, but other than that everything is working the way it should. This ROM is going to be flawless once RIL gets worked out

I don't think they'll work themselves out, (I know that's not exactly what you meant, lol) but I do believe that the devs will get it figured out. The wifi -> 4g handoff is my only remaining issue with this rom. What I've taken to do, since I'm on wifi all day, is leave it on 3G for now. The handoff is perfect both ways. If I need to d/l anything or feel like flying on the net then I'll switch to LTE and then back to 3G before I turn on wifi again. One thing I've noticed is that my battery life is amazing with 0.6 and 3G.

Any reason or way to get my apps that i installed through titanium backup to show up in the market? For some reason it only shows the gapps and my purchased apps, and i have about 80 other things installed through the market.

Same thing with me. I know for certain I have apps that need to be updated but i have so many it would be impossible to go through 1 by 1

I don't use TiB, but I thought I saw people clicking "market fix", or something like that within TiB and that fixing app issues? I could be wrong, but maybe check in the settings and see if you find an option like that

Ok,I just checked this out... in TiBi go to settings/more and run the market doctor. It will go thru and verify all your app market links. If it finds some missing,it will link them for you.

Now go to the market and either update or download an app. This will refresh the market, and anything that wasn't there should pop up.

I just ran it... contact groups manager needed verified. I went to the market, and it looked like they were all there except for contact groups. I updated maps, then went to the market home, then back to my apps. Lo and behold it was there :)

hey could one of you guys check something in wireless&networks for me. That is if you haven't changed it, is international data roaming checked? I have gotten a few times today that i have lost connection due to international data roaming not turned on. Will it charge me extra if i have that turned on, or is it normally turned on?

i haven't been trying to bother with it today. I put it on 3g before i left for work, because i rarely use my phone there anyways, let alone i never surf the web or download apps while at work. For now this is good enough for me, because 4g uses more battery trying to find a 4g signal on the fringe of the network, and ends up bouncing back and forth just killing my battery. So far my battery has been great today. Hopefully slayher's leave of absence doesn't slow down development too much.

im with you there... i may turn it on now and then while using the phones browser, but for checkin email and browsing using the phandroid or xda apps 3g is fine.

i actually only left it on for an hour or so... long enuff to toggle it on and off a few times, and do a few speed tests. dont know how strong a signal i was getting, but i was getting between 7 and 12 mb down. in the same location i did a couple of tests in 3g and only got about 1mb... so it must not have been too great a signal there.

even tho i wont use it prolly most of the time, its faaaast and it tickled me to no end to finally have it :D

i know cvpcs was working on the DX if i remember correctly, but before that he made ruby for the incredible, which was a wonderful rom and was one of my favorites, and the rom that got me into liking AOSP roms. Essentially its how i found CM. I was very excited when he joined the CM team because he also does great work as with everyone else on the CM team.
