Root CM7 Nightlies

Don't have that problem here. Did you individually wipe boot, system, data, cache, dalvik, and battery stats?

I don't know if I need to post this in here or an ADW thread, so I'll just roll the dice. How do I assign Speed Dial to a contact? My phone keeps telling me to go to the Context Menu of the contact. I have no idea what that is. I've gone into "Edit" and there is no option to assign speed dial.

I'm using Dialer One, and I like that it allows me to spell a contact name to search/call. Still, I'm feeling like the Contacts App is a bit lacking. I can't find anywhere to search contacts by spelling and I don't see anywhere that I can link phone contacts to Facebook contacts - that seems to be greatly limiting my FB Photo linking.

to tell you the truth i couldn't even tell you man i have not herd of this maybe try putting it on the xda nightly thread and one of the dev could help you or put it in the rom

Never heard of what? Assigning speed dial? You know, when you press and hold a specific number on the dialer and it automatically dials a predetermined contact. I'd like to press'n'hold #2 and get my wife, #3 for dad, #4 for mom, etc...

Go into DIALER of dialer one. Start to spell name. When contact come up... long press. Go to speed dial. Set. Done.

Took me a while to find it because I dont use it, but good to know how!

GD it..... I did a fricken search and this had the most replies and I went with it... I should have known.... and I do read, I just assumed it was an EVO thread because my search criteria was -EVO cyanogen mod 7- I will never bother you guys again.......... don't hold me to that!

That has to be the only thing I didn't try. Thank you.
 
I flashed #11 today and now whenever I have the phone on for a little while, it just shuts down for no apparent reason and goes into boot loop. I can get it out of the loop by removing my sd card then when I put it back in I find that it just shuts down again randomly and goes back into the loop.

I have a 16gb in my INC and this is the first time this has ever happened and I've flashed a few other roms, OMGB6 recently and some froyo roms a while ago.

I know NOTHING, but I do remember people asking if the SD card was FAT32

If you have everything backedup (as you should), flash back re-download and try again.

If that dont work, go to xda and ask.

Might be just a placebo affect (effect?) but browser loading time seems really snappy. Also, loading in and out of apps and such feel really tight. Could also just be in my head.
 
I'm 90% sure things are running alot faster on build #12. The other 10% is because I'm playing with cm on the original Droid at the same time.
 
Cool, ill flash it when I get home from work tonight then.

What are you guys running setcpu at on this rom?

yes, FAT32. Everything is backed up, and have tried flashing it again. What's strange is that it was doing this with build #57 I think, of the CM7 normal builds. I am on XDA and hopefully I can get a response. Thanks.
 
#12 is definitely faster than previous releases. Its actually one of the fastest roms I've used to date, ranking up there with Incredibly Reengineered. Maybe the hardware acceleration was added in this release?
