Root CM7 Nightlies

16 is really good. They fixed something, but I don't know what it is. haha. Oh yeah, new kernel too. Which are you on now kid?

Anyone noticing ridiculously slow charge times with the packed in kernel?

16 is awesome... flashed from 14 which was also awesome. I don't know what's any different though... waiting for the next build which could come at any moment. I keep hoping for the hardware accelerators and the new Slayher kernel. :)

Just flashed it as well... not seeing any difference in these builds at all, but it's fun flashing them! Surely they will add the hardware accelerators real soon.

Most of the changes are being made behind the scenes.

Not trying to be picky, I'm just not seeing any performance differences or anything I can put my finger on... not that performance isn't already superb - it is superb - I was looking for something that was missing (ie, hardware accelerators), more features, or more refinement (complete riddance of homescreen lag, smoother scrolling, etc...), but all I see is another iteration of an already great version of CM7.

In other words, I'm seeing less and less reason to keep flashing nightlies if the differences are so small and few and testing each one is becoming less and less important. Besides, I bet once they get the hardware accelerators working and added, we'll see RC1.

This rom us almost perfect now. The only thing else I want from it is hardware acceleration and hopefully some bigger, better notification bar symbols (3g, 1x, signal bars, etc).

Kind of in agreement with you. I'm on 16 and I'll probably stay on it until an RC is released. This rom has everything thing I need (asides hardware acceleration).

I believe they need the N1 2.3.2 dump, when it comes out, to get the hardware acceleration for our phone. Well, that's why my understanding was (same chipset, and therefore, compatible drivers).

Does anybody else suffer from semi-routine system reboots? Basically, every so often my phone goes back to the CM boot screen. Not sure what's going on, but it is pretty annoying and has breen going on for quite a while.

Have you been wiping Dalvik Cache with each flashing of a new build?

Only the last flash. Problem is I didn't know how to wipe my cache and data when I Flashed the updated ROM from Recovery. So, I had to reboot my phone and use Rom Manager to do that. That made me wonder if my Delvic wipe was negated.

Thoughts? I don't mind three occasional FC on AWD, but reboots of my phone can be tiresome to say the least. This is not a development with the recent builds. I've been dealing with it since #0, I believe. I had hoped it was just a wrinkle that would get ironed out.

From Recovery, I personally do this: Wipe cache partition, then from the main recovery menu go to advanced, select WIPE DALVIK CACHE, wipe it and then flash the update from the "choose zip from memory card" option and if you download through ROM Manager, you can go into the ClockworkMod folder -> download -> (should be mirror.teamdouche.net and keep going 'til you find the one you want to flash), never had a problem, been doing this method on my DInc and Droid 1.

I have not gotten any reboots. If i were you, I would do a complete wipe, then a fresh install.

I've also had the random reboots ever since the I started the CM7 roms, which is probably around build 45, and I do the occasional full wipe/cache/dalvik, when I feel it is needed.
