Root CM7 Nightlies

Oh my oh my... just got a 1737 in Quadrant... and I'm completing every run... Geez they really did something to this build... much, MUCH faster than any of the other builds I've tested.
 
Besides the HUGE performance boost, they've added CPU Settings-->Performance Settings-->CyanogenMod Settings.

I wish they would add a delay of 90 seconds at boot-up for over-clocking. My experience is that if you check the box for "set on boot", you're setting yourself up for a nasty bootloop if the boot-up can't handle the over-clock setting right from the start. I put an overclock app on my daughter's X that has a 90-second delay from bootup and then engages the overclock setting. This would be an outstanding feature to have. As it is, I always have to go in manually after bootup to set my overclock in SetCPU.
 
I wonder why quadrant still isn't displaying the tests for cm7, but shows results? Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, all of us are having that problem. The 3D screens won't show up without the hardware accelerators. We've been waiting for those since they started uploading the nightlies. No one knows for sure when they'll drop. We think they're getting close.

There's supposed to be a new Slayher kernel in the works as well that should enhance performance. Someone posted about it somewhere in this thread and seemed to be more knowledgeable about it.

yeha that was me ... the new kerneal is a colabration between slayher and invisibleak and it will be GB approved when it comes out of beta
... if you want you can go over to xda and find the thread and flash the beta but there is no guarantee that everything will work with it

Gotcha, I thought that might be the issue, but didn't want to make an even more stupid comment and end up sounding like an idiot :P
 
#20 is looking and feeling really good . This keeps getting better and better.. I hope this gets ported to the Thunderbolt quickly haha
 
Have you laid your hands on one yet? I think they're coming around the end of February but I would need root before I jumped. I have 4G here too and an upgrade but... I guess I just have to feel her (err... it) first.

No but I've watch about a dozen videos on it , I've been waiting for it through all it's name changes and release dates . It looks like 2/14 is a pretty solid bet for it coming out . I'm going to buy it on a 1yr contract probably every phone I get from now on I will do that way. I have 5 lines up for upgrades this year so I don't mind buying one and getting a new phone in the summer as I can almost always sell them used for the same price it would be on a 1yr contract , never out any money. I'm hoping to get $250-$300 for my Incredible when I go to sell it
 
Yep, that's what I just saw too, the 14th. I still have an Eris in perfect condition so I might actually send it in for $132 (I have the envelope and RMA already) and then keep the DI as my backup. I have an upgrade now and again in July. Just gotta get my hands on it first. Does any store have it yet?
 
#21 just dropped. Any flashers yet? I"m downloading now.

It's a creeper download, so I'll come back in 20 to flash it.
