Root CM7 Nightlies

I never, ever had that happen. I don't see it as a major user problem, thus it's not being addressed adequately from your perspective.

yeah i mean it only really is a problem for people who mount there sd card to flash the new build and that is what i do but i have other means of getting the new build on my sd card so i am not to worried about i just see it as more of an inconvenience if anything

Heck, I mount my card to put on .apk files, deletions, music, and all kinds of things. That is weird that it doesn't work for you. I don't see it being reported by anyone other than you and someone else. Wonder what's up with that?

anyone flashed 22 yet? just downloaded it, thinking about flashing since i am still on 17, and key differences or fixes since then?

22 happens to be one of my favorite numbers, as you can see i dont mind being behind since i am on a build people have abandoned for about a week now. just wondered if anything cool or different has changed like the kernel, but i assume if that or hardware accel were added it would be all over this forum.

Glacier being built now. Incredible #23 building in about 15 minutes. Last time I was an early adopter was #15 and that backfired. Still, willing to try it again. Been flashing Sense ROMs all day and kept wanting to go back to CM.

One of the other phones that CM runs on. It's the last phone in the build order before they build the nightly for our Incredible.
I didn't know that.

Is it just me, or is "Glacier" a terrible, terrible name for a phone.

I wonder how that meeting went....

"Hey, guys, we're just finishing our newest, latest, greatest, and fastest phone. Any suggestions for a name?"

"How about a ancient, giant thing that is so slow that its movement is imperceptible?"

"Brilliant! Our work here is done."

I don't think it's the phone's name, but the pre-launch codename. A lot of their builds reference the phone's code name, IE, "Passion" is their name for the Nexus One builds. Apparently Glacier is their name for the MyTouch4G.

Is anyone else getting a pop ad for the Blackberry Torch when you open this thread? I have been for the last 2-3 days. I find that kinda funny that it is advertising on a thread for Androids.

Flashed 24 last night. Seems to be working good. Haven't really done much yet with my phone today. I started getting some lag on 17 with launcher pro plus so I switched to 24 I might try to go back to adw for a little and see if that helps.

My SD Card isn't properly mounting in 23 or 24. Winamp and the Video applications won't pull my sd card music and vids, have to use root explorer/astro to open them up.

EDIT: Won't properly mount in any build. Should I: A) Do a complete wipe and re-flash? (B) Format my card (C) A&B?
I've never had this happen, so I'm kinda clueless

I'd try A and then B. lol

Whenever I've noticed hick-ups in the past, I assume it's time for a clean wipe. Logically, you would think it doesn't need to be done, but it's worked for some of my problems in the past.

Just make sure to backup your Apps and data with Titanium. If you want, you can also backup the System Data and give that a try, but the System Data *may* cause the same error. The System Data just makes it easier in getting your Phone back to how it was. Also, you might consider downloading SMS Backup from the Market (it's free).

I usually just ignore the System Data and just deal with manually adding the Accounts and assigning Google Voice (those seem like the main things missing).

I would try reformatting the card. Obviously back everything up first. I had to reformat my card not too long ago for some odd reason on Ruby I think. Works fine. If you didn't wipe cache and data before flashing I would suggest that and a reflash but most likely if it isn't mounting on any build it is probably the card and not the software.

Flashed #23 this morning & no issues whatsoever.

It took me 8 months to finally root my phone.

And this week I've tried :
CM 6.1
CM 6.1 w/ Invisiblek kermel
Skyraider 3.5
Skyraider 3.5 w/ Heyitslou's #8
MIUI
&
CM 7

CM 7 is by far my favorite. I think it even makes the screen look smoother.

Okay guys, it seems my phone decided to just go on the fritz! It said my internal storage was 7.05 TB (YES! TeraBytes!) and refused to recognize the card after I formatted it in the phone. Now I'm getting bootloops and have wiped everything and re-flashed only to be met with more bootloops. I've tried it with two different cards, and neither of them are working worth beans, none of my Nandroids are working either. Is it time to get the RUU and go to stock and re-root?

Had this problem starting on 15 and continued through 20. When you encounter a major issue like this, it's time to stop the flash-overs and do a complete wipe. That's what fixed it for me. I'm on 23 and might not be doing another nightly unless they add a killer feature. Everything that I use seems to work fine for now.

I got the 7/05TB thing, but that fixed with a reboot. At this point though, sounds to me like you either need to do a Nandroid, or a complete wipe.
