Root CM7 Nightlies

I've not had any problems with wireless tether on any of the builds. It must be an app that's causing the problem.

could be, I dunno. but installing a ROM where it worked was a much easier solution than spending hours figuring out how to get it working with this ROM.

I liked Cyanogen, but actually think the battery life is better with Magnolia, and the browser is much better. the 'snap' zoom on the Cyanogen (dolphin?) browser never worked right for me, not like the stock browser anyways. I often had to scroll sideways back and forth to read a whole page.

the best thing about Cyan was the stock music player (though I found this in the market: Music Mod) and the picture gallery.

Anyone having 3g issues with 14? Want to make sure I'm not "holding it wrong" haha but really seems slow and have had numerous times I've gone into the market and it tells me I have no network. Also wasn't receiving gmail push notifications today? Maybe time for a clean wipe and flash? Just flashed 14 over 11 wiped cache and dalvik not data.

Guys, I know you're a bunch of crack-flashers like me, and that you're addicted to being able to flash a new build everyday (or nearly everyday), but CM7 RC2 is perfect, and I think it's what we've been waiting for. In fact, they could make it the official release. I'm extremely happy with it. :)

I agree, although I'm running #17 which is basically the same thing. Everything works and there are a few kernels to choose from. Perhaps I'll play around with some themes now to change things up a bit, transitions in ADW Ex, Fancy W Pro, things like that.

im also on 17. somewhere arounf 12 i did a fresh install as i was starting to get a lil lag and some minor issues. fresh install cleaned it right up :) id advise anyone having 3g or any kind of display issues/lag/force closes etc. to go ahead and try it. yes it sucks to reset up,but sometimes it may be worth it if small issues are bothering you.

18 is out... yay! :D

looks like i will spend the last few waning hours of my spring break doing a full wipe and fresh install of 18. Overclocking wasn't playing nice with me in 14 either, got a bootloop when i tried to oc to run quadrant.

flashed 18 with a full wipe last night, so far no issues. everything is still smooth and works so far. i think my 3g issues may have been related to using the wifi at my house, switching it on and off so many times and the fact that service has always sucked at my house.

do you know if the swype issue is fixed yet

Swype issue is a problem with Swype/Gingerbread, not CM7. Swype just released a new version to *fix* the issue w/ popup appearing over/under the android copy/paste menu. However, their fix is really just a removal of the popup feature from Swype, so basically no more double tap to edit words. it's back to the double tap to select and then press the Swype key for the popup window.

Liking cm7 more and more now. Seem like there was a speed improvement since #19. And my battery life seems a little better.

On #22 now, don't know what they improved, but it must be good. Keep up the good work cm7 team. I appreciate it.

Side Note: Fixed my volume control problem (all sound dropping to zero for no reason), turns out it was an incompatible app "Volume Controller", incompatible since #13. Just an FYI.

^same, i just began having problems with the keyboard when i hold the period or smiley button, the popups do not show up, and the auto corrections/suggestions up top do not show up in landscape. Weird. I am running the honeycomb theme. might have to switch it up real quick and see if that fixes it.

Anybody have a suggestion for a kernal that gives the best battery life? I love cm7 but surfing the web just seems to crush the battery.
